The world and technology is constantly evolving.. nothing remains as they are forever. Remember MEDIATEK used to make the worst chipsets ever. But now they came up with a very powerful beast that blows every single processor in that price segment away with raw power.

Type C to type C cable has no point when the included charger does not support USB PD, it's the included charger that dictates the included cable.

Or there is ano... moreFrom those two the note 8 pro would be faster, but for now long term support like OS updates is not as clear for mediatek as it is for qualcomm SOCs. There's a phone that is close in price and performance to the rn8 that use snapdragon processor and to my liking a great screen:

If you don't care about updates but care most for a fast processor rn8 seems a very good option for you.

From what i read, those two seems like best midrange phone in regards of overall performance VS price ranger.

High risk to block this phone with custom roms and mods.
Its good when you are not planning to make some customizations and believe that Xiaomi will support it for long time.

For USB 3.0 and HDMI-support, there was none on this phone. Only flagships from Samsung and Huawei (for example) that supports external docks have that, don't expect it to be present at this price-range. USB-C is just a plug or connector. The specification that it supports still varies per manufacturer implementation.

Taha, 22 Dec 2019S9 is way better than the note 8 pro. Dont make a mistake of replacing it but still your choice.sam-hung fan boy, go for note 8 pro if your budget is low, if your budget is high then go for note 10.

very disappointed .
The USB C should support many protocol support by specific connectors ( thunderbolt, Displayport, power) using only one USB C port . The USB C of RN8pro is not compatible with HDMI/MHL test with this adaptaters ( usb c to HDMI) of foinnex ( china brand at http://www.foinnex.com/ ). I was thinking HDMI output was impleme,ted in Google Android OS Level and not brand ( in the past some HTC support MHL). If it work after others tests i ll post again a comment . If you succeed to use an HDMI adapter ...please post the model name and brand name of the adapter !
