Anonymous, 02 Nov 2019Which is stronger than the a50 or note 8 proDefinitely redmi note 8 pro on this one. Note 8 pro has more horse power. If you notice galaxy a50 has a processor built on cortex a72 while redmi note 8 pro has a processor with newer architecture cortex a76 which has more power and it runs on gpu mali g76 compared to the mali g72 on galaxy a50 which means the processor on note 8 pro is capable to push more powerful gpu.

M30s has a processor on the level of Snapdragon 660-675 while mtk g90 surpasses most of the mid range processors.

I said they differ in contrast. The panel on note 8 pro is far from bad. It supports HDR even. I don't know what you mean when you say bad display?? Colour wise or some other factor? For a budget phone they're quite alright. And yes I prefer performance over some contrasty display any day. If I had to pick between the two.

But really you stares at the corner of their sc... moreIf amoled and LCD loos the same to you that's fine man to me amoled is a no brainer and xiaomi can't brag about their cheap phone screens at all (pocophone biggest flaw was the poor screen), as for the M30s, I already stated that this is better for heavy gaming no doubt at all but the M30s can do gaming, you will probably need to mess with the settings a little to get the best out of it.

I would hold any purchase until reviews are available just in case.

Anonymous, 02 Nov 2019The resolution is fine but it's a cheap IPS screen with uneven backlight with moderate dimming... moreM30s processor is a cheap one. Not for gaming. But really you stares at the corner of their screen. I've used lcd and amoled phones both but don't have any issue with either other than contrast difference. I'm talking from experience point of view.

Even flagships from 2 years are unable to handle today's game like today's mid range phones. 2 gb ram is too less to experience smooth pubg gameplay. Maybe you haven't played on smoother phones. So you think the performance you are getting on your 'samsung with 2gb ram' is the best performance.

nick, 01 Nov 2019Is the resolution of the screen good enough?The resolution is fine but it's a cheap IPS screen with uneven backlight with moderate dimming or light bleeding mainly around the notch and at the bottom of the screen but for the price I guess is passable, if you are not into heavy gaming you can check the samsung M30s which can be had for less and has an excellent amoled screen, has better battery life (6000 maH) and it's lighter and slightly smaller.

Im using it 3 years now Samsung with amoled 2GB RAM and still playing PUBG with this phone. The display is very good. The budget phone that everyone buy in year 2017 below cant be compare with my phone none do better in pubg even if it has 4gb ram too mine is better. It did not heat for long gaming too use to play pubg 5 to 6hour a day only a small warm. Nowadays good phone does not mean good quality after 10 to 12 months it feel old new version of cpu gpu already available in the market that time. Especially below 20k phone it outdate too soon. Nowadays they build good phone not good quality.

nick, 01 Nov 2019Is the resolution of the screen good enough?I mean it's got a 1080p resolution. It's more than enough. Unless you need fancy quad resolution or something. I prefer 1080p because it consumes less battery and is good enough for video watching. There's no pixelation like some 720p panels as such.
