1.Automatic brightness is not working most of the time
2. Unable to set different tones for dual sims only Sim 1 tone is ringing for both sim .
It's happening after installation Miui 12 manually in my 8 pro .

I think Redmi Note 8 Pro or generally Redmi Note 8 Series deserve Android 11 Update when they have sold more than 30 millions!

Rajat Dahal, 30 Aug 2020Though the mediatek chipset heats upYeah it's hot. At least hotter than my old redmi 5. But i think it's acceptable because i play Honkai Impact 3 in ±35°C environment so it heats like hell lol (and i'm sure if i use redmi 5 to play HI3 then my redmi 5 will explode hahaha)

Performance : I don't see any changes still the same performance as before which is good.
Battery : I think it's a little bit better but not really sure but I can guarantee it did not got worse. I play Call of Duty for 1hr and a half and I've lost 100-75% with Mobile Data not WiFi with half brightness!
Camera : I don't know I'm not a camera guy so yeah...
Software : I really like the new software and all the animations ! I like it even more than stock Android ! MIUI 13 my favorate! But as you know the Software is news so expect some stutter but it's not a big deal it's only from time to time especially if your multitasking or loading some have app or some demanding games! But by next update all issues and bugs will be fixed.
So do I recommend updating to MIUI 12??

Hello all....
I got the Redmi note 8 pro, after using the Galaxy a30 for close to a year, at first I was a little skeptical about breaking my loyalty to Samsung, and I really miss my Amoled.
I must confess that xiaomi really knows how and what to do to give customers THE BEST.
from camera, to performance, to fluidity and battery life,
The phone is really an amazing device.
And of course with the MIUI 12 update and iOS theme 😁
It really has a similar experience to what's attainable on iPhones.
I would totally recommend this device to those who are in the market for a new phone, ( aside going for the newer releases)

Greenify works but stops auto hibernation after sometime. So I am unable to use greenify from play store nor any greenify modded apk. Any solution?

Phone is lagging now, overheating when playing games. PUBG is lagging a lot. Camera interface is bad. Scrolling has some glitches...
Battery life is under question mark....I hope they fix this problems soon, otherwise the phone is ruined....

Hiruzen, 26 Aug 2020Split screen, dark mode, shortcut for notes, new control center, and the best one, floating wi... moreFar too aggressively remove apps from memory, the settings are a complete mess making it hard to find and change them and MIUI added their own apps settings while keeping Androids app settings so that there are two or more places where to find settings for apps so it is unnecessary difficult to find the settings I want to change, the System Launcher is horrible so I have to use Nova Launcher, Gestures are ok but not as good as "Fluid Navigation Gestures", can not turn of low battery notification sound, are some of the many problems with MIUI!

Redmi Note 8 Pro do NOT support LTE Carrier Aggregation, "4G+", and this is a really big problem for me because my 4G connection is far too slow so I have to move my sim-card and use my old Moto X4, that support LTE carrier aggregation, as a wifi hotspot to achieve acceptable data speed!

Anyone has seen battery drain or laggy scene on this phone after updating to 12 MIUI and Android 10?
Now I'm using Android 9 and MIUI 11.
