Don't listen to what a lot people say here. This is a very beautiful phone with a powerful gaming performance for a midranger. I have one. Forest green colour. I play call of duty almost every day on this phone. Heating is normal in all phones. You will not regret it unless you buy a faulty device

I have read someone in the industry accepting the fact but saying that the damage would not be significant in the expected lifetime of the device. I love the "expected lifetime" part of the statement.
This is an industry that lives on people updating their phones as frequently as possible if you don't want to hear lies, after all we don't have removable batteries anymore and the phones are glued to death even if they are not meant for water resistance. Try to wake up a little buddy.

The problem in this case, is that Redmi Note 8 Pro is not a faulty model. Is actually very good viewed and a lot of people praise it. That is why I bought it. I needed a cheap phone for gaming.
If I would have added a few euros more, I would have got the Honor 20, a much better phone, but the USA ban on Huawei scare me in buying it. Now, I think I would have better took that gamble.
Scythor, 15 Jun 2020Where did you bought the phone?Global version. Alza, it is a retail store from Czech Republic.
But it is not the store fault.
Probably I was just unlucky with this particular device. A lot of people in Czech Republic are praising this model. Also, the one before, Redmi Note 7.
But, I admit, I am picky with my phones. That is why I change them all the time.
In this case though, the problems are the ones that I described in earlier posts. And the bad part is that are not warranty problems. I can't go to the store and tell them I have wifi or bluetooth connection problems. Or problems with the auto brightness. Because they aren't each day, they occur from time to time. But they are annoying when they happen.
Probably I will end up selling it to some second hand shop. I don't know. But, I am also thinking of the poor person who will buy it afterwards, they will face the same issues.

When you are living the bad life with these phones you know your sin: you got it for cheap.

Companies love fast charging and whatever that makes you update your phone ASAP.
Companies also love updates, the other sure way to break a perfectly working phone.

raaj, 13 Jun 2020yes same issue i am facing with wifi and bluetoothAnother issue with this model I had experienced last days.
When I was outside and wanted to look at the time, my phone got automatically in lowest brightness possible. But it wasn't completely black, some things I could barely see on my display, I suspected some sort of problem with the sensor. I needed to turn off the phone and turn it back on. The problem disappeared for the moment.
I am beginning to think I didn't make a right choice with this model.
I had previously for almost 1 year a Samsung A20e, perfect phone without any issues. But not very good for games. This Redmi Note 8 Pro is good for games, but bad for everything else it seems.
#sad.
Facing strange issues with this phone. Sometimes when i get a call and i try to receive call, It freezes and goes to white screen. I press lock button and unlock it again, the call is still ringing but not able to attend it.
Proximity sensor is not working at all, although it was good some 10 days ago.
Most annoying is the aux cable does not work. I have to try again and again and it starts working then.
