Hello friends, could someone with this phone please check if there's hardware decoding for 10-bit HEVC/H.265/x265? Also known as HEVC main 10. The easiest way to do it is installing MX Player, and going into Settings > Decoder > HW+ Video Codecs and look if "H.265 10-bit" is checked and says "Hardware accelerated". Please, this is all I need to know to see if I buy this phone since that's a feature I'm heavily interested.

So disappointed. This phone has a good specs but why it keeps on lagging. If you want a better performance then try the other brands.

I've had the phone for two months, and kept it at fullscreen mode. Gestures get triggered while typing on the keyboard with or without the navigation bar on screen. The same with your other points, besides gaming cause I don't play on mine, everything is exactly the same in miui 11 on miui 12. Nothing has changed with the battery and the camera. Don't oversell the phone just cause you personally like it.

- All game was perfectly fine and smooth on MIUI 12, while it is lagging on miui 11 (such as pubg at smooth ultra, at miui 12 it will play at 40 fps constantly without any frame drop)
- When you activate full screen gesture, now under the screen you can see a line (it will parting the gesture part and keyboard, so the you won't accidently using the gesture when you're typing with keyboard)
- Video was better on miui 12, have more detail, and no stuttering, at miui 11 there is so much stuttering.
- Camera Quality increased by "a little" on miui 12, not much difference but color was better at miui 12.
- Battery life was better at miui 12 (but after one week of updating, at first you will experience the battery life was not as good as miui 11, after 4-6 days it got better).

finally switch to a different phone. I got the Reno 4 from my postpaid plan and I'm not going back to Xiaomi any time soon. XD I sure wish they'd optimize their android cause on paper, note 9's specs is actually good. it's the MiUi that's the issue. my friend owns an android one Xiaomi and he's never had issues with it. and those ads everywhere on the phone, man, that just cheapens the experience. it can be disabled but they really shouldn't just be there in the first place. other brands don't have them.
thanks for the learning experience though, Xiaomi. XD probably not gonna try a different model unless it's an android one.

only had this for two months, and I think I'm done with it. xD it's a good daily driver because of its battery. but everything else falls a bit short. specially hate the full-screen mode. Xiaomi seriously needs to do something with the gestures getting triggered over the keyboard. it's so annoying when it closes the app or the keyboard randomly while typing. I get that the nav buttons are still there as an option, but then again it really shouldn't have that issue with the full-screen mode. another is the general sluggishness of it. Miui seems to be a very heavy android skin, and it just causes so much lags. this phone needs a few more updates before it gets optimized. at the moment, I don't recommend this phone.

The screen is very unresponsive, try installing nova launcher and it will look like it needs a screen replacement.

this phone performance not good when gaming. play pubg smooth ultra. but got a bit lagging.play codm very lag, feel like shit when compare to black shark 3 pro. redmi note 9 pro got problem with restart bug. now i just wait poco x3 to arrive. much cheaper but more powerful processor. and its got 120hz refresh rate. go poco x3: mid range killer

I had updatr my phone yesterday, for listing a voice message the phone screen will be black. I go to the setting of the proximity sensor, i see it a number 0...Fail. What i can do now? For fixing this problem

So I finally got rid of this phone and got myself note 8 pro which is soo so much better in terms of performance and camera! There is day and night difference just because note 9 chipset is soo unoptimized I'm happy I went with note 8 pro
