using this from january 2021, it got absolutely ruined by miui 13 by now and right now it's slow and shitty

Over a year and flawless. Awesome battery life. Could be a little faster but at the price and spec I know what to expect.
Camera and video are also quiet good. Perhaps users need to look at their setting or dirty lenses. This phone punches above its weight and extremely well priced.
Complaining people goto McDonald's and expect a gourmet meal as well?

Piece of crap, slow, non-responsive, freezes all the time, even after factory reset. Xiaomi should just put Android One in all their phones, instead of this bloated MIUI shit.

i only trust note 8 pro and note 9 until now this 2 redmi is amazing ,unfortunately 8pro not get miui13 anymore i hope xiaomi give that

I have been using Redmi note 9 for 2 years. I don't play games in it. Major problems I'm facing-(1) It does not refresh network automatically, it gets hanged, I have to do flight mode. (2) within 2 years fingerprint sensor does not work properly as before. Have to draw pattern. (3)It gets hanged, even if there is free space, no background data and apps running. (4)camera quality becomes poor than before. (5)It has a very annoying feature, perhaps other redmi models, i.e., when i use it under sunlight or even a little light outside, the screen automatically becomes brighter or white, even if auto brightness option is off. And there some more problems so on.. For these--->we pay thousands of money to this company.

Worth for the price. Had overheating issues playing unoptimized game on other snapdragon devices, but not even warm while playing on this phone. It's my gaming phone now.
Everything is smooth unless you're treating it like a beef pc - dozens of background apps, and multiple games to fight for the RAM.

Aunt, 19 Aug 2022Ever since I upgraded to Android 12, phone now hangs a lot. I have the 64/3 variant.Ok I found out that the default launcher is the source of the lag. After i replaced it with Nova, phone is now much responsive. Phone still sucks though.

Has anyone from Nordic areas got Android 12/MIUI 13 yet? I'm still waiting for OTA. I've heard its very good and worth this long wait 👍
