Almost everything I need in a phone. Only thing missing is a periscope front camera(motorized pop up camera), and at least 20W wireless charging. Then it would be perfect phone for 2021 for me.

Because if you did, you'd realize that the Exynos 7420 Octa was the best performing chipset in 2015. It pummeled the overheating mess that was the Snapdragon 810. And Mediatek chips in 2015 were simply an embarrassment, no need to mention them at all.
I am not at all drawing conclusions for the chipsets of today, but at least recognize that it was the complete opposite situation 5 years ago. So it's not at all surprising that someone would still think this way.
Interesting enough, my first phone was from 2015 which ran on a Mediatek chip..... and I loved it. So I am glad that Mediatek is stepping up their game, but I don't appreciate the recent backlash on Exynos (and yes I know the reason for it).

China is not a democracy.. ... moreBrands like samsung also dont give big wages to their workers, they get all of the profit and use some of them in advertisements,rnd etc, xiaomi types of brands are not as strong as samsung etc in rnd and advertising, so they dont need as much profit(atleast to make other mide range and budget phones)

You're running an Exynos chipset on your S6 Edge, not a Snapdragon and those Exynos ones are way shittier than MediaTek's because the latter actually worked on improving their SoC business & they've really stepped up their game recently, specially with this Dimensity lineup.
Anyways, the Dimensity 800U on this Note 9 5G smokes the shit out of your 5 years old Exynos 7420 so if you still can use that SoC on 2020, I don't see how the Dimensity 800U wouldn't be "enough" for you.

It's funny that most people still can't accept Mediatek with the face that it has improved a lot compared to before. Why not you guys try it out first before making any assumption? I'm saying this because I have tried one of it on Redmi Note 8 Pro and to be honest, it didn't bring me any problems as an ordinary user.
