Honestly great phone aside from camera, surprised how bad video calling quality is. Aside from that the fast charging, hd screen, and fantastic battery life make its $250 price a no brainer.

Android 12 is coming, but no news from Android 11 for this device. I will never suggest xiaomi to anyone. There are also some fundamental issues with xiaomi devices such as the proximity sensor during call and some other small, but very annoying problems.

Sometimes whe incoming call coming but nothing shown who is the failed. Thatis the one problem I face every time

Something's wrong with switching between sound outputs. Often, when sound cable is inserted to play through external (amplified) speakers, phone still plays through internal speaker, and vice versa, when afterwards cable is removed, sound is muted and headphones icon is displayed. External third party app helps to have the right output.

Do not complain about heavy battery,
heavy battery last long hours, light battery discharge fast.
But volume sound is low, not loud,
Word excel inconvenient to edit n read [not provided by xiaomi]
Word excel do not work if no internet connection.

Saket , 09 May 2021This phone is very bad it hangs a lotGreat piece. Haven't had much of the hanging issues others complain about. My problem is the fingerprint sensor misbehaves at times, won't detect. When calling at times, the screen goes dead and I have to move it towards and away from my ears several times to get it reacting normally.
Bottom line, I like the phone.

New update is efficient but with two major caviat, reduced image quality (less details and more noise) and bass reduced Mono speaker ( i used to listen music on kitchen , bathroom and bed room .. sad experience now 💔)

Nick, 04 May 2021Did it have ads? Having adds is no problem , updating Xiaomi smartphone especially to MIUI 12.0.3 is a bigg problem... Smartphone works fine but with reduced image quality and bassless mono speaker ... They are following iphone footsteps interms of update. And thats a sad thing

pls don't update your xiaomi smartphone especially redmi note 9 pro , miui 12.0.3 is horrible , reduced the image quality with full of noise and less details, reduced the bass of their mono speaker which really sucks . i would really love to say one thing to xiaomi , give add but dont destroy smartphone with your bloody update (worst update policy to be honest) ... keep on miui 12.02 guys .. or advice me where to get custom rom and which one is the best
