The phone has been decent , I've had it for two years now , unfortunately I noticed that it has started restarting itself. What could be the reason ?
I've been using this phone since it's launch and today, in 2023 it's still very very capable device, i can have as much as 5 apps in background with absolute ease (6GB ram). The battery has gotten bit worse by the 3 years as expected but it can still last 8 hours of moderate use thanks to snapdragon SOC and if it drains it's charged very fast. cameras are decent quality (even the macro one) in daylight and 4k recording is nice to have though the stabilisation is non existent for 60fps or 4k. fingerprint reader is very fast and reliable. Also the snapdragon X15 modem is nice, good signal reception and 3CC aggregation with which i got average 4G+ speed of 250mbps. Only things i do not like about this phone are: IPS display and average quality speaker.
It is with great remorse that I recount my decision to purchase this phone. Even to this day, I am filled with regret. Every conceivable problem plagues this device, from incessant hanging to involuntary actions occurring without any prompting from me. It has even begun to make phone calls and send messages of its own accord, which is incredibly bizarre. The phone has also taken to spontaneously rebooting itself and shutting down at will.
To compound matters, I have resorted to using the phone in safe mode, where essential apps such as WhatsApp and Facebook are rendered inaccessible. This measure became necessary when the phone began to hang so severely that I turned it off and placed it on charge. Shortly thereafter, it became uncomfortably warm, prompting me to power it down and wait a few minutes before restarting. However, the phone continued to turn off repeatedly, presenting me with four options to reboot, wipe data, connect with MI assistant, or enter safe mode. I chose to activate safe mode, causing all significant apps to disappear from view, despite being installed.
I have spent the past several hours attempting to remedy the situation, to no avail. I am utterly exhausted and have contemplated hurling the phone against a wall in frustration. However, I am reminded of the years I spent saving up to purchase this device and the crushing disappointment that now plagues me.

MIUI 14.0.3 update has literally given rebirth to RN9 Pro Global.
Only thing I can complain is not having 5G on it, on a lighter note.
Can use it for another 2 yrs!!
Received MIUI 14.0.3, Android security patch Feb. Phone has become far smoother. Great update.
Xiaomi is making MIUI far better, less bloat, more responsive, getting closer to pure Android!!

Hoping to hear back from you.
