If you want a true 5G phone, avoid so called "5G" phones based on SD855. For all 5G phones released in 2019, only 5G phones based on Kirin SoCs are true 5G phones.

I don't understand much about the technique, so I need help choosing a ph... moreDepends on whether you are talking about P40 Lite 4G (Kirin810) or P40 Lite 5G (Kirin820). Also depends on where you live, the local availability, pricing, availability of post-sale service. You sound like someone living in East Asia or some part of South East Asia (Malaysia, Thailand, etc). In that part of the world, a smartphone with Huawei branding (or with Honor branding) carries considerable prestige a Redmi phone can't match, for users who care about such things.
1)Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G vs P40 Lite 4G (Kirin810):
- In terms of general specs and basic performance, they are evenly matched. One is 5G while the other one is 4G.
- Advantages of Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G: 5G, much better main camera (HM2), stereo speakers.
2)Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G vs P40 Lite 5G (Kirin820):
- Advantages of P40 Lite 5G (Kirin820): Kirin820 is a better SoC, with overall better performance, better 5G Modem, and better ISP. Competitive main camera (64MP, 1/1.7", 1.6um for 16MP output).
- Advantages of Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G: better main camera (HM2, 108MP, 1/1.5", 2.1um pixels for 12MP output), stereo speakers.
Since you are currently a Honor user, my recommendation for you is Honor 30, which is available currently for ~$300, only marginally higher than Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G (~$250). Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G is the best new low-midranger with a main camera better than most phones (including most flagship phones) in the market, while Honor 30 is a premium mid-ranger with premium features you don't usually find in many flagships. In that sense, Honor 30 outclasses Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G by a margin, as follows:

Hello everyone. I don't understand much about the technique, so I need help choosing a phone. I currently have an Honor 8X and I'm very satisfied, I've had it for 2 years, so it's time to get something better. I watched Xiaomi redmi note 9 pro, and Huawei p 40 light. Maybe you have some recommendation from these 2 models or maybe something third.
