just looking comments about battery and seems that I am a lucky one - 100 to 50% - 18h active, almost 4h SOC... but I don't play games, only YouTube, browsing internet, Bluetooth headset almost always on and some google maps. Miui 220.127.116.11 global. Camera not so good but ok, miui with every update have surprises, sometimes good and sometimes terrible. 12.5.1 is ok, for me much better than previous version...
Am I the only one who thinks the camera sucked after the upgrades?
My redmi note 9s (global) keeps restarting when it is connected to a wifi does someone know how to fix it?

I've being using the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S for ten months.
Battery that lasts days even when I use an Amazfit Tracker Band 5 at all times, the only thing that I don't like is the lack of reading when I'm in the sun but I knew about that when I bought the cellphone.
Bought another for my son and he is happy with it.

Have had this phone more a month now, upgraded MUI... no issues, ZERO for me. Battery performance is on point, tethered for whole day while WFH it was 72% by EOD.
Cant ask for more but let me keep observing

As in the "most users will face the issue" were also not my words but from one of the sites doing reviews ... and judging by the amount of comments under the threads that are discussing this failure there are not just few users facing this. Don't get me wrong, if you are one of the lucky people that don't face the problem good for you - but this issue is known to Xiaomi since last year and there is stillno solution ATM.

That's exactly what I meant - there is a portion of users who are experiencing certain issues with the phone, as with ANY phone, but a vast majority is happy with how the phone works.
I haven't experienced any of the problems you mentioned, and neither have any of my friends who own this model.
Simply put, and generally speaking - this is an excellent phone.

Today, it is coming to light that a section of Redmi Note 9S users is facing an issue with their device’s earpiece. This, according to reports, resulted from updating the device to firmware version V22.214.171.124 (QDWMIXM). The issue seems to be a little widespread and here are some of the complaints we came across (1, 2, 3).
Let's not forget that in the case of the Redmi Note 9S, not even restoring the terminal itself could solve this problem with the volume level of the call speaker. Something that is also happening in the Redmi Note 9 Pro and to a lesser extent in the Redmi Note 9.

Went through all the updates, never a problem. Still think this is the best value-for-money phone. The issue you described definitely does NOT affect 'most users'.
