Xiaomi launched the first flagship smartphone for Redmi series Ā Redmi Pro, and Mi Notebook Air, on July 27. We have done disassembly teardown review for the 12.5″ and the 13.3″ Mi Notebook Air already, today we are going to do a disassembly teardown review for Redmi Pro. Xiaomi Redmi Pro features OLED display, dual cameras and full metal alloy chassis, most importantly, it sells for 1499 yuan ($230) to 1999 yuan ($307).
In peopleĀs past experiences, Redmi is low range and budget smartphone, different from Mi smartphones. Its killer tactic is the pricing from 700 yuan ($108) to 800 yuan ($123). However this time Redmi Pro hits the price tag for Mi series. Redmi Pro is the most expensive Redmi series smartphone ever, and Xiaomi positions it as the all Chinese smartphone, powering MediaTek Helio X20/X25 Octa Core CPU coupled with 3GB/4GB Ram. And the variants with 32GB, 64GB, 128GB are offered. The 5.5 inches OLED display shows sharp, gorgeous and vivid image. The 5MP front camera makes great sense to those selfie lovers, and the 13MP rear dual camera takes great photos. A fingerprint scanner is embedded in the front Home button.
Though the specifications is solid high and the performance is reportedly very powerful, yet what about the inside? What about the build quality? This disassembly review will unveil the answers. The one we disassemble is the top advanced version with the best specs.
THis is one of the best phones i have seen up to date. that too in the budget... I would prefer this phone not only for specs but also the build quality... Just so awesome!
Pushpan, 25 Aug 2016I do not understand why the Xiaomi phones are not getting android updates.Still the phones are... moreThey have,, i am using Mi3, when i bought it, its in Kitkat, i just open the auto update for MIUI, a week after, when i check my setting, my phone is already on Marshmallow.
I do not understand why the Xiaomi phones are not getting android updates.Still the phones are on kitkat is really shame for Xiaomi.I think it is high time to think on the matter of updation to at least to Lollipop if not to Marsmallow
AnonD-540658, 25 Aug 2016My point was that mediatek always puts below average GPUs in their SoCs. It's really annoying ... moreI totally agreed, public want their phone to always new everyday and always vibrant.
here we got the worst combination, Mediatec and Xiaomi (most of xiaomi phones still running on kitkat).
AnonD-568167, 16 Aug 2016Seriously ? The Helio X30 is not available for any smartphones, just annonced by MTK...Coming ... moreMy point was that mediatek always puts below average GPUs in their SoCs. It's really annoying because that's the main reason I stay away from MediaTek SoCs.
is tit possible to add a " availability in your country button" in each page?
AnonD-555191, 24 Aug 2016no quick charging? what a shame, it supports tho -_-"Well technically there is quick charging, you just need to buy a quick charger. =P
DwG, 23 Aug 2016There are no reviews for this phone yet. Maybe you are confused with redmi note 3 proWhat's this then? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcX6EUqUiTc
AnonD-575529, 23 Aug 2016which on is better? xiaomi redmi pro x20 or huawei p9 lite 3gb?From my personal opinion i think i preffer Huawei. huawei is very mature company and give what we all wanted which is OS updates for their phones. (it's safe for me to say that is the reason we bought a phone).
in other hand, Xiaomi... this is a "fact", they never update their OS, they only update their UI which is MIUI. so people who bought their phone have to deal with the same OS for years until u gave it to your pets to chew on..
There are no reviews for this phone yet. Maybe you are confused with redmi note 3 pro
