ZTE Android Announcement

ZTE unveiled its Axon 30S in China earlier today and as the name implies this is a slightly updated version of last year’s Axon 30. The core specs and design remain unchanged while the only noticeable difference is on the software side where the Axon 30S now boots Android 12 with ZTE’s MyOS 12.

Pricing is also altered with the baseline 8/128GB trim now going for CNY 1,698 ($238) while the 12/256GB model is CNY 2,198 ($308) which was the launch price for the 8/128GB Axon 30 last year. You can pick up an Axon 30S in black or blue colors starting today in China while international availability was not detailed at this point.

ZTE Axon 30S brings a 6.92-inch 10-bit OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone retains the 16MP under display (UD) selfie camera and UD fingerprint scanner. There’s a 64MP main cam around the back alongside an 8MP ultrawide snapper and a 5MP macro lens. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 870 chipset sits at the helm while the battery capacity comes in at 4,200 mAh. The phone comes bundled with a 55W charger.
