Lead2XL, 30 May 2016A fantastic looking phone with great specs. For me, it is only the weight (185 grams) that is ... moreit has a really good solid feel, try holding it...... you may like it. Plus it is really durable!!!!
Indeed,i believe the weight is a bit too much, however! If there is a phone, this good for this cheap i would be more than willing to put weight aside.
128gb version has force touch, the 3d touch like feature,
but it's not mentioned in specs.
ofc its gonna be heavy, its all metal.
Might pick this up if it is available in australia and if the next nexus doesn't come through for me.
Does anyone know how soon the axon phones get their updates and how the software is? Everything else looks very attractive
Indrockzz, 30 May 2016Which sony camera sensor used in this phone?Who told you that is a Sony sensor? They used a Samsung sensor
A fantastic looking phone with great specs. For me, it is only the weight (185 grams) that is a negative. No 5.5 inch phone should weigh more than 160 grams. The Huawei Mate 8, a 6 inch phone is also 185 grams, very light for that size - it also has a heavier battery - 4000 mAh. The LG G3 was lighter than average for a 5.5 inch device at only 149 grams, although made of plastic which is lighter than metal. Anyway, compactness is important to me and I would hesitate before buying a 5.5 inch phone as heavy as the Axon 7.
This phone would be very exciting as other pgones in the axon series have been. Big thing is that it has a 20mp camera with f1.8 aperture which looks better yhan lg g5 which has 16mp f1.8 aperture . Powered with the kryo sd 820 it will have no issues as far as performance is concerned. At last the 6gb ram would steal the show. This phone is capable of competeing with htc, samsung ,etc.
Sinsofmobiles, 29 May 2016My only concern is how updates will be initiated for this device if it's availability is only ... moreUpdates are handled way better when carriers are not involved. If you buy this phone or any unlocked phone (like a Nexus) updates are pushed through OEM not the retail you bought it from
My only concern is how updates will be initiated for this device if it's availability is only though retail let's not carries.
I agree! I would even talk about updates when they come. Some chinese oem update their devices one time only and then people are crying for updates lol. Anything for less than $500 besides nexus phones barely gets updated
Will we be able to use custom ROMs on that phone? Does it have unlocked bootloader like the Oneplus phones?
why some people bragging about quadcore? this is sd 820, not some low architechture octacore processor
Cpt. Power, 28 May 2016What a PHONE and only double dual core. and 31400 mAh. Rest of specs looks awesome. Big h... moreIt has the snapdragon 820 which is the most powerfull chipset on the market and btw its quad core...you really shouldnt worry about the performance.
Anonymous, 28 May 2016No its two dual core. It's uses arrangement that is known as big.LITTLE. Same as how are octo ... moreThen why noone (except you)would call an octa core soc two quad core? And what would you call helio x20? Dualquadonedouble core?
Does it have 4 cores? Yes it does. Then its quad core, case closed.
