I purchased the AXON 7 in May, but I have not been picking up any signals. My sim works in another phone and I've tried other sim cards, but still no signal.
After going to the test settings by using *#*#4636#*#*, I'm seeing that the network type is listed as td-scdma/cdma/umts. But whenever I try changing it to GSM or WCDMA or something else, it says that there's an error and defaults back to td-scdma/cdma/umts. Does anyone know of a fix for this. I am in urgent need of some help.
I bought one for my daughter as a gift and was impressed with all the resources I found on Axon 7. Now I am buying one for my personal use and I am pretty sure that this is the best device in its category and price! Just love it!

You as customer have right for refund even after 1 year warranty. A full refund. But it's more smoother if you buy device at your local tech store then oems own because local tech store has their own regulations and warranty besides oems. It's like buying iPhone at Walmart but this time walmart is standing for quality of that product not iPhone. Law is more strict in that regard. State or law of the state doesn't care what is the name of product they are selling it's Walmart who is responsible for product to work or not. Then Walmart is dealing with Apple later on which is what why is what is chicken older then egg etc. I don't see a problem. What's more strange is that you could do that long time ago. Asking for a refund
This phone has a well documented error, where the phone main camera stops working and displays a very distorted preview.
This makes the camera unusable.
The phone is only six months old and I purchased it in the USA because the 6gig version is not available in Europe.
However now I am in Spain and ZTE now tell me that I need to have a USA based credit card in order for them to make an exchange.
ZTE further state that the phone that they will send to replace mine will not be new!
As I don't have a USA based credit card I am now stuck with a phone which has a useless camera.
As I use the camera everyday, this is more than annoying.

i get a refurbished phone, a corrupted 128gb sd card $90 on sale! now 7 mo. later i am on my "5th phone" ! here is the litany of problems,besides a non existent customer service , it's like talking to robots! all scripted! i hardly use this phone also, sr. citizen mostly home. drops wifi, overheats when charging,freezes up,navigational buttons don't work,text notifications don't work, no ring tone for incoming calls or texts.camera takes lousy night time pictures, every update messes up the phone completely. tells you no sim card, when your sim card is in place. corrupts your sd cards. very fast battery drain all the time on all 5 phones. carry a back-up power bank if you use it on a average basis & less. i charge it 2-4x a day! for using a couple of text messages, news notifications & checking lottery numbers. HUGE DRAIN ON BATTERY! no phone calls. oh, volume button or rocker doesn't work, they send you a replacement. dirty, new or old serial number slapped on back with curled edges, temporary screen protector is wrinkled, dusty, full of fingerprints!
all "4" replacement-refurbished phones were defective like the original $400 new phone. in its nice new packaging. i personally believe they are selling refurbished phones from china to the usa consumers. some articles say this phone was sold in china in 2015. customer service says made "only for usa market" LOL! i have emailed the president,ceo mr. cheng in richardson ,tx & Edward Rayeski, Director of Handset and Development, as well as the president in china! not one response! the phone is beautiful has all the bells & whistles only they don't all work! i am out over $500, phone, sd card,screen protectors & cases! for a piece of junk! i do know they DO NOT STAND BY THEIR PRODUCT! i have filed complaint w/BBB & will with the attorney general's office in texas. Buy at your own risk!
who knows we may all be buying refurbished phones. they usually go bad after the return money back expires! GOOD LUCK !
I just updated to 7.1.1 B04 the European version , better camera , battery and the most important thing ...They jammed up the volume its max volume as the American version...Its is a beast !!!
