Come on, 11 Mar 2018Not true. Last update is from December 2017. Check official website before you post dummy.True but it's still only Android 6.0 and Nubia operating system 4.0.
I updated my phone and have noticed no difference at all, probably only fixed a few minor issues.

There are a few problems with it as I mentioned in my review but can't complain too much at the price.
It also doesn't have NFC which is being dropped in many Chinese phones but still quite useful in Europe.
i want to buy the m2 due to its amoled screen 4gb+64gb and great price. BUT im been hearing pleanty of software and hardware problems for this phone here in Greece. thus the sudden price drop to around 120 euros. Can anyone share any malfunction problems? thanks
Also there is an update on the Nubia India site but it is still Android 6 and version 4.0 of the Nubia software and I can't see any difference so probably not worth updating.

OK I've worked this out now, the "home" button doesn't illuminate on this phone, the "breath light", actually lights, are the lights for the "back" button and "open windows" buttons either side of the "home" button and it is these that work as the notification lights, but they have to be activated for each app in "notifications".
Took some working out but there is no manual, not even online.

You can set the breath lights to light up when you have a notification instead but then they seem to take a while to stop lighting up after you've read the notifications.
Obviously some downsides with Chinese software.
Review time:
Good: Slim, good battery life, excellent OLED screen, excellent amount of storage.
Bad: Poor camera, poor speaker, not very loud even on maximum, poor call quality.
So both a step up and step down from my previous phone, there's probably better chinese budget phones.
