After looking at an unboxing video, it looks like it does take 4K at 60fps (I was afraid that it didn't have that but it still doesn't confirm OIS). Still can't wait for this.
Anonymous, 03 May 2019why not? the predecessor was top in many benchmarks and had good impressionsYes and thid exatly looks like a best phoe of 2019 which will be made.
Money doesnt matters but rich of features and its low price for that will be outstandng.
Anybody got max datarate for 8kp25/30 and 4kp50/60 video camera capture?
It is simple, start the camera app set in those modes at maximum quality, and press record and stop after 10-20 seconds immediately. Do once aiming the camera at something still, and once waving the thing around madly to see how high the data rate goes.
Then see file size and divide by the seconds recorded. Then you have approximate megabytes per second of data rate (times by 8 for normal mega bit per second datarate).
You can try this with open camera app while setting the highest datarate to maybe get higher values. The app the the phone may not use the full performance.
how the frig are we to clean the fan when it gathers dust, lint etc etc
I think it's time for GSMArena to start adding "Cooling Method" row in their specifications, new phones now have better cooling like passive or active. Nubia Red magic 3 has active cooling.
joe nodden, 04 May 2019Oh god I hope those camera specs are real, this would for sure be my next phone if they are. Don't celebrate just yet. Video resolution is not even half the spec needed, we still need to know the bitrate and enhancements used during recording.
joe nodden, 04 May 2019They say a load of these phones are 400 euros. They aren't. They said the Lenovo Z5 Pro GT was... moreThe phone's highest trim might be worth 700 or 800 USD and I think it's worth it given that most of the features were the ones I consider "innovative".
Phone Reviewer, 03 May 2019Omg, amoled screen, sd855, 5000mah battery, and 12gb ram in a phone that cost 400 euro?????
U... moreThat's just initial specifications. GSMArena is not that reliable in terms of initial specifications and pricing.
wait a second, the camera video its filming at 8k 30fps something new :)

CptPower, 03 May 2019I dont think so. why not? the predecessor was top in many benchmarks and had good impressions
12 GB soon will not be overkill. Android Q has hidden native desktop mode, if you are to use your phone as a main computing device 12 GB will be handy
Anonymous, 03 May 2019no but it has external option by adding docthe doc doesn't look like it does anything but provide power. I think it's usb 3.1 based on reports from youtubers.

I already think that 6Gb of RAM on my Pocophone F1 is overkill but... really? What are you going to do with 12 Gb ? Switch between Fortnite, Minecraft, PUBG and Asphalt while live streaming, making a phone call and listening to music? I know that gaming on phones in China is very common, but come on, no game with be able to use correctly so much power because all games on the play store are made to be played with every phone, even the cheapest...
Some features like the fan, the 90Hz display and the buttons on the top looks really great. However, for the 1920fps I think this is just a "fake feature". The Pocophone F1 have a 960fps mode, but in fact it's just recording at 240fps and creating more images using algorithms that just creates a weird moving effect to still objects.
Also, the price seems very good for these specs.
