I'll gladly pay the 5$ for the extra pins. A gaming phone without hdmi out is just a complete joke. I can handle no ois on the cameras but no ability to hook up to a monitor? Who the hell decided to cut that corner?
Pros: build quality, screen, audio, battery, cooling fan, price. Cons: limited storage (no microSD), single camera, availability
Anonymous, 03 May 2019no but it has external option by adding docThe external dock just have Ethernet, USB-C and jack 3.5mm, it does not have a HDMI port so it looks like the Red Magic 3 has no DisplayPort over USB-C which is very disappoing for a gaming phone, this is the only gaming phone which is not compatible with HDMI because Xiaomi Black Shark 2, Razer Phone 2 and Asus Rog Phone are compatible

After looking at an unboxing video, it looks like it does take 4K at 60fps (I was afraid that it didn't have that but it still doesn't confirm OIS). Still can't wait for this.

Anybody got max datarate for 8kp25/30 and 4kp50/60 video camera capture?
It is simple, start the camera app set in those modes at maximum quality, and press record and stop after 10-20 seconds immediately. Do once aiming the camera at something still, and once waving the thing around madly to see how high the data rate goes.
Then see file size and divide by the seconds recorded. Then you have approximate megabytes per second of data rate (times by 8 for normal mega bit per second datarate).
You can try this with open camera app while setting the highest datarate to maybe get higher values. The app the the phone may not use the full performance.
