The ZTE ZMax Pro is not a brand new device. It was released earlier this year for Metro PCS in the States. However, the company is bringing the 6-inch phablet to T-Mobile starting today for $180. The ZMax Pro only sold for $99 on Metro PCS, but the caveat is that the handset will remain locked to the pre-paid carrier, as the device was subsidized to make it affordable.ZTE ZMax Pro
Following the success of the ZMax Pro on Metro PCS, the version headed for T-Mobile is identical down to the design and specifications. As a refresher, the ZTE ZMax Pro is an entry-range 6 inch phablet with a 1080p display, powered by a Snapdragon 617 CPU paired with 2GB of RAM. Also under the hood is 32GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD card.
In the camera department, there’s a 13MP rear-facing camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. Likewise, something unseen in smartphones of this price range, is a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner that works quite well! There’s also a large 3,400 mAh battery, which is sure to keep the ZMax Pro chugging on.
