In my opinion it is neither...
It's not a REAL laptop yet as the resolution is high, but not quite high enough...but it is no longer a PDA or a phone.
It's somewhere in the middle.
I would like to see it perform some decent tasks, even though the specs are there I doubt it will be very convenient to run graphics progams (Photoshop etc.) on this machine. But then again... it was probably never made for that.
Really glad to see though that mobile technology is mergin so quickly, the next two to five years will be nothing like this...

this is a good idea... but i think it lacks one feature that would make it the ultimate all in one package. A GPS, they did it with the advantage. If it had a GPS I think it would be great for Aviators, Private/comercial. maybe Garmin and HTC could brain storm that one! i would like one of those!

Really good to see HTC pushing up into the ultra portable laptop/tablet space. Could next release have 1024x768 TFT, 60GB solid state drive, IR4 port, UMTS, GPS & FM tuner in same form factor please? Such a machine would give IBM HP Dell Sony etc something to thing about! I'd ditch my x60 tablet.

This is very beautiful...but it wont fit in my pocket...yes i like it very much but many computer companies will be able to create such things ....what i need is the same specifications but also to fit in my pocket. Great idea but not user friendly....it is not always about hardware it is also about service ...there are out in the market other also gsm mini laptops things...not interested ..i believe htc advantage is better...

to guys asking if there is USB... there was! but i don't know if it's 1.1 or 2.0 but as the device uses windows vista, it should be USB 2.0 as 1.1 is old for the newer OS. i think it's the better choice compared to SAMSUNG Q1 and SONY UX17GP UMPCs...=D

We can't cal this a phone.i think htc should manufacture laptops from now on.why spend too much on a phone like this if you can get a laptop cheaper than this.any way the features are overwhelming
