Nokia AIR cloud service promo video leaks, shows cool devices - read the full textA promo video has leaked showing Nokia Air, the company's own cloud syncing solution. Using some strategy like that might have worked, but they should have made android, windows, figured out what was selling, then moved to that as the main platform or had a hybrid platform. That would have made sense, committing to something before it is out of beta (windows 7.5), osborning your current line, then getting osborned by your partner, not... not a good strategy....

I don't really care what anyone says when I'm comfortable using the best OS on the planet...yes the best...user satisfaction isnt that great but hey...ITS MY BEST!

Nokia using Windows Phone as its main platform and their own proprietary OS (regardless of what they call it) as a secondary one makes more sense than having nothing to fall back on. I think Elop is acting wisely, knowing fully well that if Nokia's WP strategy fails, it will do so over the next 12-18 months.

As for the above, it is probably from the archives and will never see the day of light.

I watched the video and this is not Symbian but 3D rendered UI made in some rendering program, which looks most like Symbian but it is not Symbian. I guess this was made a while ago before the Microsoft infiltration. I wouldn't have any higher hopes about this.

No idea if this concept will work off with so many different cloud apps around, but 1 thing for sure. Nokia has lost its direction already.
From a public point of view, they are sailing without navigation for now. They will get into more financial trouble should they continue so.

Android is crap with buggy software, laggy, freezes and reboots problems.

I've been able to manually sync contacts, txt, notes and all sorts of other stuff between Nokia phones for years and years now. Would be great to get the same utility in a cloud app! :)

look at the mini-slider, there is no seam at the bottom! and the touchscreen slides! woah, that's so amazing! but i did notice the date is 2011, i think this idea is abandoned. but in case nokia fins out abt this, and sees how people got excited by this air cloud thing, maybe, just maybe, nokia will re-think abt this idea. i personally think the mini-slider is a surefire hit. and the tablet? just astonishing.

> In reply to Android Fanboy 4.0.3 @ 2012-06-24 23:59 from 7qC% - click to readWhy you fandroids have to push other OSes(mostly symbian) down instead of posting in Android articles and worshipping it? Are you just a**holes or do you think it makes Android better? And as you do that, it tells us you are really interested in Symbian when you read articles about it.

Symbian even isn't dead OS yet, it gets support at least til 2016 and Carla and Donna are really coming, it's been confirmed. We just are guessing if they look like this.
