Please make no pentile a real resolution. And also BOOST your brighness. It is very hard to read on sunlight
Nesned, 16 Nov 2012ummm, actually it's right about 882 ppi. 4 times more pixel means 2 times higher pixel density... moreumm 1920²+1080²=4852800 -> square root of 4852800 = about 2203 -> divide it with 4.99 = about 441 ppi.

I still remember when years ago, phones were getting smaller and smaller. And now with the advent of smartphones, things are getting bigger and bigger again. I'm sorry but 5 inch is to big. I feel 4.3 - 4.5 inch would be the best sizes.
Probably has bad battery life as well, seeing as how all smartphones are currently.
Brightness on screen is a plus point for sunlight visibility, but for the final quality of the image and to be more pleasant to the eyes is the inverse that counts. For me, a less bright display scores more, and yet AMOLED panels performs best under sunlight.
apple-sux, 16 Nov 2012well a 1080p screen got a resolution of 2073600 pixels. a 4k screen got a resolution of 3840x2... moreummm, actually it's right about 882 ppi. 4 times more pixel means 2 times higher pixel density. The way how to calculate how many ppi is not by dividing the amount of pixels. but you have to root it it's 2 time higher density.
-english is not my native language
The rumor is Cool.Samsung do some thing for wireless charging and i want Note3 in 5.5 1080p superamoled screen with 441 ppi pixel density and memory card slot also and improve camera as well to 16Mp . Iprove Battery and please work more on graphics and clearing ram problems, means like iphone it works smooth not clearing ram again and again .Thank You. Love Samsung :)

When will the companies ever understand that all these fancy specs mean nothing if a device can't stay on? A device isn't "mobile" if u hav t plug it into a charge point all the time! Really boring all these "advancements"! Im not buying ANY smartphone till there's drastic improvement in battery life, none of you companies r getting my hard earned cash for your fancy gizmos which die down in a few hrs!
come on ... 4.99" is too much for a phone. Sometimes I feel S3 size is big too. Keep making quality products with a 'better' battrey life.
Anonymous, 16 Nov 2012Again, i don't give a **** for display with any techs... Battery with +3000mAh, 2GB of RAM and... moreAbsolutely right. Battery has to be removeable type also.
Anonymous, 16 Nov 2012Damn you technology!I am still stuck with a phone that has ~229 ppi. ahahah you say you use an ~229 ppi device.. im cooler i use an 163 ppi device with an 3 mpx camera.. and yeah.. DAMN you tecnology
Display war begins. Even when patent war is still ongoing.

Wind, 16 Nov 2012You sait "LI8R". That doesn't sound like "lighter", but "lieighter"Does it now?? Ru really sure, cos i've never heard of any word in any language called "lieighter" Lol!
Try playing graphic intensive games on that 1080p 5-inch screen and see how fast it will drain the battery. It's not practical. Phones will end up like laptops where it has to be plugged in all the time.
Nedo, 16 Nov 2012Burn in is still BIG problem with all AMOLED, being: S, PLUS HD...FULLHD, and also lack of b... moreYep, brightness is a major issue wth AMOLED n similar OLED panels (dunno abt. passive matrices)! I recently compared my lame old Lg optimus with my friend's top range Galaxy S3 and was shocked that my optimus at min. brightness appeared mch brighter than the S3 at full brightness, (when the S3 was at min. brightness u cud hardly see anything n i ALWAYS use my optimus at min. brightness 2 save battery) I was quite astonished wth d result!
ironic that everything is silly or stupid until Apple does.
IPhone is pertect for one hand (typing)?
Don't think so. Everyone that i see in nyc who uses iPhone (made up primarily of kids, women, old people) use two hands with the iPhone so close to thier nose since they can't see anything properly on their tiny iphone screen.
By getting rid of those thick, fat, ugly, and mostly useless bezels like the one that the iPhone has, 5 inch screen is definitely possible without hardly increasing the current smartphone sizes. Unless all u do is txting, social, and games, smaller screens are a real pain in the butt and bigger screen are always welcomed...
Grow out of the tiny iPhonish screens like u grew out of the Converse... What's the point of dumping the much more useful physical qwerty keyboard for frustrating soft keyboard if u are still stuck with a tiny screen??? Get out of the trendy and form of function sillyess and let's get real and practical...
Again, i don't give a **** for display with any techs... Battery with +3000mAh, 2GB of RAM and slot for sd it's a base for new devices!! Open your eyes Manufacturers!!
