i have seen this phone and i was surprised because of its size, compare to the 1202 and 1200, this phone is huge and thick. i think 1202 has much better design as well as features
apis, 04 Aug 2010so, is it confirm can store up to 250 smses? how about the number screening function? still there?Mine stores 290 sms in the inbox and 15 in the sent but i think that would depend on the sim card.
It still has the screening.
But I can't help compare it to 1202. It doesn't have the undo clear in the message editor. I just hope Nokia would do something about this. I dunno if firmware version 4.20 fixes this.
so, is it confirm can store up to 250 smses? how about the number screening function? still there?
tab, 02 Aug 2010Can you tell us how to check our firmware versions?press *#0000#
mine is v3.60 i think there's a new version already. I need to update mine. I hope this solves my gripes on the sms editor.
I bought it about two weeks ago, the only problem is the leakage of sound on the speakers. Other than that everything works fine. I'm really looking for a phone with a simple form and function and I am happy with this phone.
for all those who comment about the voice leakage issue can you post your firmware version for comparison thanks
I got mine yesterday and I also have the 1202. About sending an SMS my complain is that after the message is sent it would return to the main screen and not the message editor screen. The 1202 returns to the editor screen after sending. Another complain is after replying it would return to the options menu compared to the 1202 that would return to the message you replied to.
tab, 26 Jul 2010IIRC, inbox capacity is 250. Sent items, don't know.o0 thx u for the answer :D :D
human, 24 Jul 2010am using it for last 20 days, these r the things tht i have observed...
good user in... moreyou can attach a black tape in the back cover on the speaker hole of the cover.
it solves the leakage and sound is clearer from the front.
leakage problem is not much to worry about.
and about the battery, 800 mah is an improvement, many of nokia phones have/had 700 mah battery.
its a nice phone. :)
i want to ask, 26 Jul 2010how much inbox and sent item capacity in that phone???IIRC, inbox capacity is 250. Sent items, don't know.
am using it for last 20 days, these r the things tht i have observed...
good user interface
good fm radio ,
fast and easy typing.have to get used with keypad, after tht its easy to use.
we can switch off back light in day time, to save battery, but tht menu is too long to reach(its in middle of display settings)...
slight voice leakage,if we close back side holes with ur fingers to minimize leakage, its creating echo to other person in line.
restarting while pressing some numbers continuesly when keypad is locked.
ringtone volume is too low.
800 mah battery is really low for fm mobile.
can see only 3 lines of a message at a time, its four lines in (1100).
sudoku game is not thr as they said before. instead snake game is provied ( not attractive as 1100 snake game).
charger wire is too small (it may be nokia's cheap cost cutting measure).
voice is very clear in the back side than front side (really funny).
joca, 23 Jul 2010please, TAB, answer to me soon is possible, are you notice "voice leeking" on this p... moreYES, joca, this phone does have 'voice leakage problem'. Vendors call it double speaker system, where voice is also coming from back side to add to voice clarity. IMO this phone just has one speaker, and it's location is more inclined towards phone's back side.
So, voice is somehow 'clearer' from the back, than it is from the front. Alas, Nokia is releasing low cost phone with this 'feature', maybe because of cost reduction.
BUT, also you might want to know, 'holes' at the back side of this phone can be 'felt' with your fingers easily, and it's easy to cover all three of them while talking on the phone, so the person next to you will NOT be able hear your conversation at all hopefully.
But it's like something you need to take care of every time you're on call.
The end decision is yours, of course!
