the minus is, this phone is no grip, it's always slip in my hand if i'm not carefully, when make a call, the sound is not clear, must use separately handsfree.
but at all, this phone is good for basic phone :D
Hi, I wonder, what is the maximum length of a text string in the Phone Book? In another recent low-end Nokia model, the 1616, it is limited only to 14 characters, which I find ridiculous.
Thanks!

High SAR and same speaker issue like other latest Nokia phones: 1202, 1611 and so one. I think that 1208/9 are still the best choice.

tab, 18 Aug 2010Hi, Could it be something fishy? I saw on this page: http://sar.nokia.com/sar/index.jsp dif... moreSorry! I'd like to make correction: This site does mention SAR values for N1280, but I was looking under country: United States (it's not there). I tried another county, and found it's there. As kindly mentioned by someone, N1280 has about 1.15 W/kg specs.
bought it yesterday..
it sucks.. hv lot of issues specially voice leakage.. u wont be able to hear anything from the front side while walking in rush places or driving with ur window open..
im gonna buy n1280 not only as a back-up phone but. .as a collection of nice performance n feature phone fr nokia. . .also got a n6233c n 6120c as a collection rather than back-up phones!
[deleted post]Hi,
Could it be something fishy? I saw on this page: http://sar.nokia.com/sar/index.jsp different Nokia models are listed with their SAR values. N1616 IS there, but N1280 is not there. Also, you might want to check values for high end phones such as N90 - max value is 0.54 W/kg. I'm seeing lower end phones have higher SAR values, hence more radiation.
what a nice phone
Hi, I am from India and I purchased the Nokia 1280 just two days back. The best thing I like about this phone is the shape and styling (minimalistic and beautiful). I really don't care about a camera/3G and other fancy features on a phone. It seems to do the talk and message part well and there is no problem with sound quality. I do have one concern however: the SAR statement for this phone specifies the energy output to 1.15 W/Kg, which is quite high compared to other Nokia phone models (the safety limit is supposed to be 2 W/Kg). Does anyone have an idea if the energy output from this phone is Ok for daily use?
but 1280 still a good phone. i luv it
