renju, 27 Apr 2013Nokia hasn't got the resources for high end hardware to make android devices.Do you work at Nokia? Please don't make such unwarranted claims. The fact is nokia builds great hardware, but has a wierd marketing strategy. They would have one flaw in each of their phones and would confuse the customer.
Like this one with low RAM and L820 with no gorilla glass and low battery. It does it on purpose and that really makes me angry. It has the capability to make the phone best. L720 could have been one but then it would have cannibalised L820's sales.

Well there are different kinds of people with different needs. Lumia is specifically for those people who wish to do simple things, things that work everytime. There are people like me who after using android have realised that the so called marathon of apps on android was not for them as they ended up just doing simple tasks. Email / Whatsapp / Calls / Browsing / few pictures / Maps and hey the device should not look like cheap plastic...and they wanted it to be un-irritating against carrying your charger/extra battery everywhere.
So Lumia is a no nonsense phone. You are wrong on saying it does not have basic things...infact it only has basic things being done well....
I wanted to buy this phone but the radiation is very high in this phone.
Battery Life would suck on iPhone 4.
And quantity of Apps/games would suck on WP8.
If you are not app centric, go for Lumia... (4.3inch screen size)
I just got this phone and I was satisfied with Nokia...i came from Nokia before to iPhone and Android although this phone is a midrange device but really good and highly recommended, very smooth mo lag unlike android you have to buy a high phone to experience better and smooth performance but with this phone is really good...
Kenswiss, 28 Apr 2013nokia distribution chain is so pathetic upto now no lumia 720 in Africa. Galaxy S4 has already... moreActually Lumia 720 is very much available in my country Nigeria. Dont knw abt d rest of Africa. Felt it!
Try to use BSNL 3G and 3G speed on 2G recharge. Its true that you will get maximum speed of 500 kbps. Go for it and try once. 3G problem solved by BSNL powered by Lumia.
The battery on the Lumia 720 is the real star in its specs ! It is the same 2000 mAh juice box that does duty on the Lumia 920, and some users have reported upto 60 hours of back up on low intensity use !!!
Now beat that .... !!
Apart from that, the unibody sleekness on the 720 is breathtaking. I bought a red one today, and I am quite amazed at what it stands for . It cost me just 318 USD ( Rs. 17,500 India), and I guess it beats the hell out of the Lumia 820 which retails at 437 !
nokia distribution chain is so pathetic upto now no lumia 720 in Africa. Galaxy S4 has already started selling in my country. Nokia has very serious problems and it seems they are not in a hurry to regain their top spot...... I wish I could get a chance to speak to Elop, he is failing to be sincere

2 GB RAM has little or no meaning on a handheld device !
Try the Lumia 620 or 720, both are awsome devices with just 512 MB RAM. Even Lumia 520 is a great device !
Android is inherently flawed that it requires more RAM for the same hardware compared to Win Ph 8
