iolo003, 04 Dec 2008dani dude, right from the very start, your already a sony fan and as far as i know, u only bec... moreDude well it depends who the 'experts' are becuase all have their own opinion....
some reviews say 8MP are best, other praise N82 abit to much IMHO
The only person one can believe is OURSELVS!
so what needs to be done is get the phones and test them manually that way you know what your buying and whats best for you and whats the best you like...
Out of all the phone brands iv tested, my heart goes with SE ...simply becuase i like them.
but i respect other brands to.
RBa, 04 Dec 2008Oops Dani. No one ever mentioned in the posts below that we bought the N82 simply because it's... moreHmmm welll good comment, im actually these days more leaned over towards SE side simply becuase im to fond of SE Phone now and find it hard to go back to Nokia but still i dont mind having Nokia's as secondary Phones, as i have a 6300 which i use as a secondary phone as of now, but K850i is my Primary phone
I would always keep SE as a primary phone, and any other brand as a secondary phone
Anyway as for Samsung M3510 and SE W302 ermmmm well i would reccomend you the SE W302 becuase its a SE and it will have the A200 User-Interface, Good Battery Life, Sound quality, High Memory card capacity, Good camera quality, nice and tough, good design, great telephony.
Samsung M3510 - Well i havent tested one but its a Samsung and the user-interface wont be very nice as compared to SE
but it has 3.5mm jack and 'Shake control' and music keys(SE W302 has it to)
Both have nice design and touch of 'class' to them, the decision is yours of what you like i.e 3.5mm jack and Shake control or Good User-interface and quality.
I recommend you the SE W302 though as its more versatile in most aspects.
Please can anyone explain to me how make the camera record more than 60 minutes of video @ 30fps and VGA quality. I have a 4GB memory card in the phone so memory is not a problem. Thanks in advance.
hey people... i also have n n82 and sofar its looking good,i was once on internet and a call came in and it restarted on its own?can someone tel me why?it is n great phone with many specs but the battery life isint that long as they say it is.maybe if i buy n new battery it will work?can someone tel my why all above are happening and ways to solve it please!
good phone overall, camera is good when used in manual functions, specially for macro.the battery life is very low when in a weak network area. battery with music on is very good..20+hrs on radio wth speakers-on. Amazing WLAN functions..very helpful in areas were u need one. very tough model as it has taken falls, salt water n high humidity.
i've bought it n i feel the battery is too short...its only work for +/- 40 hrs ???? oooh god....
I have installed alert me on my n82. but it's not working now wht should i do?

you only need to backtrack the date of ur phone on the settings menu to be able to download expired cert apps....
instead of 2008 change it to 2007.
if u wer able to download older version, u dont have to worry, once u connect ur phone to the web it will automaticaly inform u to upgrade to the newest version and provide u with a link
hop this can help ;)
And another thing Dani. About the focal length, I guess it just allows you to capture wider area of the image that you want to capture. And I guess it doesn't really affect the image quality, only the larger the focal length, the wider the area that you can capture (that's what GSMArena, M-R, Mobilearsenal, Phonearena and Digitgeek have said in at least one of their mobile phone reviews). Thanks.. =) Btw.. Is SE W302 also good as a secondary phone? My cousin is battling between Samsung M3510 and SE W302. Which do you think is better?
My Emtube is still not functioning so my question is, where can I get the Mobitubia? All Mobitubia versions that I usually get have an expired certificates already.
Oops Dani. No one ever mentioned in the posts below that we bought the N82 simply because it's a Nokia. So why stray away and shout that we are Nokia fanboys? And besides, there were no signs of the thing called ''Nokia Fanboyism'' with our ownership on the N82. We're just proud owners of it as we happen to like it and we value the N82 that much just because we like its nice performance and the boatloads of features that it has to offer. As simple as that Dani.
I hope you won't be too much of a kill joy. We just like our N82 and that's it. And if you're gonna ask me if I'm aware whether you are a SE fan, well Dani, I'm here to state that I was LONG BEEN AWARE. I was just not reacting. And to tell you frankly, I was never fooled by your speeches that you like Nokia more than SE. But after all of those, I still didn't react because I don't want to start a flame war. That's it Dani. Now I've told it. Peace over here.
Just go to ipmart-forum.com but make sure to register 1st to be recognize then search the game quake 3 arena, there you can find a guide on how to download the game. There are patches and cd key to be downloaded to ur pc to ur phone, its very simple. make sure u have at least 400mb of memory, thats hw big quake memory is. Have u tried the quake 1? Its just the same on hw to downlod from ur pc to phone. Enjoy the game. Hope we can play thru bluetooth.hehe ur wc n advance
Dani, 03 Dec 2008Come on people....
Samsung INNOV8 and SE C905 - both have the Lense Focal Length of 5.70 ... moredani dude, right from the very start, your already a sony fan and as far as i know, u only became a nokia fan when ur se broke.. and after it was fixed, air brewed the other way..
you mentioned camera specs, i guess u have reseach about it but u have to consider details.. i cannot argue with you on because im not an expert on photos as well
and the experts have spoken, they chose N82 more as the best camera phone than 8MP camera phones.. and u know who this groups were c",
iolo003, 03 Dec 2008clearly dude, you dont know anything about photography and camera c", its not all about MP, it... moreSorry to be rude but I think you have misunderstood my opinion. I am merely saying that camera with higher megapixels usually outshine those with lower megapixles. Maybe what mr.anonymous said was true but in overall comparism between camphone, we cannot deny that higher megapixels phone can give us a better resolution. It's the same as comparing a phone with 11 pixels to a camera with 14 megapixels. Who do you think can produce a picture of higher quality and resolution. That is my opinion. Please don't misunderstand. Thanks and sorry for any misunderstanding aroused. I will definitely say N82 is a state of the art phone as it is packed with all of the features a consumer wants(Wi-Fi and GPS) but we should not overlook the fact that every phone have it's pro and cons thus we should accept them as they are.
Focal Length and Lense..
Samsung INNOV8 focal length - 5.70
SE C905 - 5.70
Nokia N82 - 5.60
N95 - 5.60
Clearly the 8MP Phones have a bigger LENSE!
N82 - Xenon Flash
N95 - LED
Samsung INNOV8 - LED
SE C905 - Xenon Flash
So there again C905
1. Bigger Lense
2. Xenon Flash
Samsung INNOV8 uses their Standalone camera range Lense, Samsung's very own - One of the best there is!
SE C905 uses the Cyber-Shot Lense - again ONE OF THE BEST there is!
Cyber-Shot camera's are the best in terms of quality - the lense's are quality!
Same with the Samsung one's.....
So is Carl Zeisss
None Perfect afcourse!
(Another reason not to Argue!)
Just get what you like, forget the brand
Come on people....
Samsung INNOV8 and SE C905 - both have the Lense Focal Length of 5.70 and the Lense's are QUALITY devices
Just becuase there not Nokia doesnt mean there bad.
Honestly you Nokia fanatics are to extreme with this stuff...
I was once a Loyal Nokia fan, gave up simply becuase Nokia phones gave me troubles, yes theyv come along since then but still i cant really see myself going back to them.
There was ONE big thing i noticed when moving to Sony Ericsson and testing Samsung's and even LG's
THEY ARE QUALITY PRODUCTS, From sound to camera and most importantly Telephony!
Samsung, Sony Ericsson, LG Phones ARE ALL QUALITY PRODUCTS
Dont Deny that, No Phone is Perfect but if you Nokia fans get Nokia's becuase its a 'Nokia' then thats just crazy
Yes I agree. Pumping up the megapixels alone won't do any justice if it would only be teamed up by miserable camera lens, poor camera image sensor, awkward image processing algorithm and optics, the camera's INABILITY to adopt under challenging circumstances (like how the sensor deals with lighting conditions, the camera's ability to deal with multicolor objects that are so close to each other) and so on..
So in other words, photography is DEFINITELY NOT all about the so-called "MEGAPIXELS" alone. It should always be teamed up by a multitude of factors. Megapixels only contribute to the overall size of the image produced as it defines the overall image resolution and as well as the dot pitch (refers to the gap/spaces between each individual pixel in an image - so in photography, the smaller the dot pitch measurement, the more detailed the image appears as there are more pixels in the specific area).
But nevermind.. : )
I'll just suggest you do a lot of skimming and browsing on the net first. It's usually one of my favorite hobbies. ; )
