USing the D880 as a modem.
The primary card is used. You might need to change via SIM settings (phone will reboot).
PC suite > USB >D880 no problem
Laptop > BT > D880 no problem. Set applications > Bluetooth services to dial up modem. It seems the procimus sim card contains the necessary info for connections. I had to set DNS manually though.
It is mentioned anywhere in the manual that you can use BT for connecting to a PC for internet connection. I used to have a Samsung Z500. It could never be used for surfing over BT, only when connecting by cable.
BTW, my new laptop has built in 3G modem which works fine also nut it is good to have a phone which can be put at a place where there is a goof signal and relay over BT.

@paanopo
Access your SD card through in the Menu. There's a folder limitation though; i.e. the folders can only contain certain file types.
@gee
Your primary SIM is the default from which you send SMS messages (i.e. not automatic if message was received from a particular SIM). It only takes one extra step which isn't much of a hassle really; pushing the select button.

Re USA
It has been noted that only SIM card slot 1 supports GSM 1900, i.e. Nort American GSM.

You can inactivate any one of the cards in the SIM managment menu which is accessed by pressing the sim switch button when in standby mode. There you can also inactivate both cards for flight mode.

your duo sim problem (?) solved:-
extract from this web site:http://www.imserba.com/forum/s...php?p=814936
"By the way, I've been using the fone for couple of weeks now. Contrary to some reviews, you don't have to reset the phone to change SIM when you text and call. All you've got to do is press the 'switch SIM' button on the left side of the phone after defining the number you want to call or to send text message to.The only time you need to reset the phone is when you change your primary SIM. And you do that by pressing the 'switch SIM' button while on stand by."

@RYAN
thanks! wow you got your phone way cheap=)So you have to choose which sim to send the reply message to? does it have a setting wherein you do NOT have to choose anymore (so that you reply with the same sim #)?
(I want a phone that won't make me choose anymore if that's possible).
Also can you assign different text message tones to each sim? since i've read you can assign different ringtones to each sim. thanks in advance!

@Gee
UNIT: Unit flew in from SG thru a friend. He charged me only PHP14k (equivalent) vs. market price of almost PHP20k.
SMS: After composing the message/reply, you can choose from what SIM to send from. So answer to your question, YES.
@paanopo
A button at the left hand side of the phone enables you to select from which SIM one calls or SMSs when the option comes along...
Hope this helps.

@tooth
How much did you get it from the Philippines and where did you buy it from?
Also if a text comes in from your sim1 and when you reply does it automatically send your reply thru your sim1? Or the phone lets you choose from sim1 or sim2?
