hi, i like my samsung x660. its ok. even thou ders no bluetooth and u cannot play mp3's. one problem is that i av downloaded mxit and it doesnt work :-( it just keeps reconnecting, any advice pls feel free to email me . thanx

for those of you who are too lazy to search the old posts, the IR does work
1.just download PIMS & File Manager, install.
2. open up the program, go to file > setup.
3. uncheck autodetect, and change the port to IrDA.
4. click ok.
5. activate infrared with pc, on the phone.
6. wait for it to be connected to the program.
7. click on the file manager.
8. go to my phone > down contents.
9. then click on the folder (image, video or sound) depending on what type of file you want to upload.
10. look for the file you want to upload, in the explorer dialog at the bottom.
11. single click it, then select the upload button (the one with the up arrow).
12. and your done.

This phone has been great to me,beings as I only bought it for £49.99.It has never crashed before and is a perfectly good phone,although,i do wish that it had bluetooth and the video recording lasted much longer!but it has been great for ringing people with!

this fone really sucks bigtime! the infra doesnt work,its really a piece of junk! all u can do is to transfer mms files via mms,and thats it! grrrrr... jeff/phub

you can transfer your multimidia files with usb and if u dont have usb use file manager last version
that is easy to use

i have had this phone for over a year and it has been great. although now i wish it had bluetooth cause there is no way that i can get my pics off. i have over 200 of them i would love to print them out. is there anyway of me getting them off this phone without havin to send them to one of my friends?? please help!

I am so disappointed to hear that the infra red cannot be used to transfer multi-media. It seems that I will simply lose all of the photos I have taken when I get my next phone.
I agree too that the un-lockable camera button on the side is awful. I had to delete 400 photos of *black* last week when I realised this!
I also have an extreme dislike for the calendar. This is the first phone I have used with a calendar but I found the interface to be extremely limiting and unfriendly.
Hard-coding the browser to the middle button is also disappointing - I rarely use this function and would much rather have been able to assign it to something else.
I have also noticed that when responding to a txt, the quick english language option is not available.
I like this phone because it is the first phone I have ever had with a camera and the first phone I have ever had that can play downloadable Java games. But I dislike this phone for all the above reasons. Overall, I would not have purchased this phone if I had known about the disadvantages, and I doubt my next phone will be a Samsung.

I have a samsung sgh-x660 but am not able to send and receive data via infrared coz it does not work I believe. Could you please advise ASAP!

i bought this phone for work, so i dont need camera, mp3 player, but side button for camera is disaster if you keep your phone in pocket, luckly i keep mine in car or on desk. irda sucks, as i understood it only work with samsung phones, thats crap. i like menu, design is great and i like ease of use. i really dont preffer samsung and this one confimed my opinion on samsung. nokia & sony ericsson are greatest

This fone really sucks,they say it can download MP3s,but it doesn't.It can only download AMR,3GP Videos & MMF up to 95Kb,more than that is too much for this fone.

i just spent about 2 hours trying to make my X660 connect with my PC and i just came onto this site and realised i cant even tranfer images or anything! im starting to really hate this phone. i also hate the camera button on the side of the phone, and my phone sends me messages telling me where i am every minute. eff you X660.

I have downloaded more then 15 games(othello, nemo, Johnny rumble 2, GO!..etc..) including the classic packman game which is
actually superb. I also downloaded mini opera2.0 software which enables me to access any website and send e-mails for less then 30 cents per 10 mins.
