Android 12 Beta is coming back in December to test feature drops early

Google Android Firmware updates

Amidst today's Google Pixel 6 announcement, Google's Android 12 Beta has been updated to the stable release on Pixel devices. Normally this would mark the end of the Beta program until Android 13's Beta program launched next year but starting with Android 12, the Beta program will continue with Android 12 in December. The announcement was made on Reddit /r/android_beta by Official Google Account.

Basically, if you are still enrolled on the Android 12 Beta on a Pixel device at this moment, you'll receive a future Beta build of Android 12 in December. These updates will aim at testing new feature drops, bug fixes, and other optimizations before they are released in stable builds.

What’s next for Android 12 Beta program?

You now have the opportunity to continue in the beta program on your Pixel device(s) and receive ongoing Android 12 pre-release updates including feature drops, bug fixes, and improvements to stability and performance ahead of the public release schedule starting in December.

Important: If you prefer to leave the beta program for Pixel and return to the public stable track of Android 12, you have a window of opportunity to unenroll without wiping your device. Please update and install today’s official release and then unenroll by December 1st before the next beta update releases. This will ensure your device will not get wiped during opt-out.

If you take no action and keep your Pixel device enrolled in the beta program, you will automatically get the next Android 12 beta updates starting in December. If you opt-out of the program after installing the December beta update, all user data on the device will get wiped per usual program guidelines.

If you're on the Beta channel and wish to unenroll, you must do so (and perform the accompanying OTA) before the December update comes around. If you don’t, you'll have to factory reset to revert to stable release software.

Head to Google's Android Beta page to enroll/unenroll from the program. Make sure you are signed into the Google account associated with your Pixel phone.

This is the first time i am really glad Nokia 9 Pureview does not get android 12. Or maybe is time for hmd to create their own Ui. Google just insulted me with their new toddler design. They actually insulted everybody.
