My IPad Mini 5 is working great with IpadOs 26.7.2.

Apple should've not pushed iPadOS26 on this. This iPad was already at its limits on iPadOS18. It's nearly unusable on iPadOS26, with lag and crashes aplenty. Simple things like even trying to open up Settings can crash it.

How can it be better with 1GB less RAM? also, specs on paper indicate the CPU and GPU are indetical, just less RAM on the iPad.
