Lee, 24 Jan 2010can anyone tell me if the Bold 9700 supports chinese; cna we send or receive chinese sms. i kn... moreyes it does, you have to go to your settings and change the language. should be able to work after this. to type a text in chinese, press alt + enter , the language will be changed to Chinese, provided you already put the setting to enable your device to type in chinese input.
regarding the redclock, you have to check your network settings, i don't think there is network coverage when you sent the texts. when the text is sent, there should be a tick against your text :)

Marc, 24 Jan 2010I don't have a pairing problem I can pair with any device its only about connecting to other d... moreSame experience here1 However, I found out for you to send and receive a file, you must identify and specify the data first then enable the receive/send via bluetooth mode from the device. Example, go to ringtones then press BBM and select receive ringtone via bluetooth. Hope this helps..
fiona, 24 Jan 2010does this phone work well here in the Philippines? I'm curious if BBM works even with prepaid ... moreGlobe supports 3G network. I think it should not be a problem using 9700 in the Phil. You may use it on prepay but you have to enquire from Globe if they offer BlackBerry Network (extra cost) to enable you to access email and internet.. Hope this helps.

Marc, 23 Jan 2010I have the BB 9700 but am having a bluetooth connection problem with any other phone or laptop... moreI had the same problem when i had a motorola phone. I couldn't get connected over bluetooth with my friend's BB. And the same for them.
But they we're able to connect together with their BB phones.
We then came to the conclusion that you can only connect over bluetooth to another BB device.
Hope we are wrong, but if not, that is really sad.
Regards.

I have BB9700 for one day and for the first time owning a BB, and am exploring SMS and contact stuff. Please help with:
1) SMS display:
Sender name + phone number type (work, mobile, home)
I don't like this format as it is wordy, most of my phone numbers are marked as "work". I'd like to have Sender name + company name. Please let me know how to set this up.
2) For a message has a number in it, I can't "Use number" for saving to contacts or call.
3) I can't edit a message that I want to forward.
Thank you in advance.
