Anonymous, 23 Nov 2010Hi! I've been canvassing a new phone and I'm torn between BB Torch and iPhone 4. Which is bett... moreif you can afford apps from itunes. iphone4 will be useful for you as a student. Although, iphone will have a lot of restriction they have almost all apps that might be of help to u as a student.
I too first considered iphone4.
But i decided to get the BB Torch only bcoz my company has BES which pushes all my emails to my phone.
I like the idea of using the slide keyboard when typing bcoz it doesnt clutter my screen unlike using the on-screen keyboard.
I don't get smudges on my screen bcoz even if the touch screen is as reactive as i phone..i feel more convenient using the trackpad.
This is my first BB phone but I have no regret chosing this over iphone4.
My camera is just as good as iphone 4.
Although, I am sure taking videos would be much better with iphone i don't miss it bcoz i donlt take vids anyways....

think of an application that you want to have on your phone that will be very useful to u as a student.
Then qoogle if u can have it on either phone.
whichever gives u the best results. you should pick :)

but i have mine for 1 month now and it i dnt have any complaint.
i like the idea of having a keyboard becoz it doesnt consume your screen unlike using the screen keyboard...all u get it half of the screen to review what u are responding to or writing about.

What is the reasons behind the software problems as Blackberry's dont normally have software issues and i have not come across any with this problem as yet.

Should i get the blackberry torch or the bold 9700. I really like the torch but im scared to get it because of all the software probs, like the phone freezing all the time, the multitasking not working etc.. plz advise

elkay, 28 Nov 2010this is the best thing that Blackberry has invented, iphone4 you have nothing on the Torch common man, dont compare the torch with a iphone 4, i have both and can say that blackberry is just good because its a well made phone, but iphone 4 brings the word phone to another level.

hi to everyone
i would like to know how many contacts can you store on this phone.presently i am using sony ericsson P1i have 4000 + contacts on it but the problem is that it hangs one i like to send sms to multiple contace it shows file damaged and all the contacts are gone.Did any body ahve store such no of contacts on it and face any sort of problem like i did with P1i sony ericsson,

I m using this phone since 5 day and I have fallen in love with this phone. Really very amazing.... I was using samsung i8910 hd it was also a very nice phone but black berry is black berry.... Guys planing to buy then go ahead its really a nice phone.... Touch screen and ful querty key pad amazing.... Its real fun using this phone guys thanx for helping me to get this phone....

For me, it's a greatest phone i ever found, but, i dont like its touch screen. Better blackberry 9780 :))

@Vijay.... Should I got Torch 9800 or Bold 9780..?? Both meet my requirement.
The same question is playing in my head. Both are new powerfull machines OS6. If you love legendary traditional value, just choose Bold 9780. Among the Bold family this is the most sexiest, with a sleek elegent design. If you like watching movie etc. with bigger screen, you should get Torch 9800. If you got enough money why not get both..??
To me I prefer the combo Torch 9800 because I have the old Bold 9700 that can be upgraded to OS6....
