AnonD-43427, 23 Feb 2012it been 9 weeks since I bought this phone, and I still can't get over it..!! deeply in love wit... moreCompletly agree i have had it for a long time and still pretty impressed and in love :) ... I usually change my phones every 6 months or so but have stuck to it for longer.... if only the camera would have been better and maybe slightly slimmer( for some people) this would have been a pretty perfect windows device (atlease for me)
see this is one of excellent phones compared to all smart phones, the one who knows about the windows apps, knowledge about this phone....it speaks other people doesnt know hw to use it....:)
it been 9 weeks since I bought this phone, and I still can't get over it..!! deeply in love with the phone .
and I'd recommend this phone to any one who wants windows experience(which is obviously very intelligent, pretty and handy, with all the different hubs and tiles, also the marketplace is growing rapidly but still far from iOS or android). But i really dont need all those 2000000 apps in day2day usage.
The screen is big and gorgeous and slide out qwerty is quite good. Emailing & chating was never so simple on smart phones. Watching videos & playing games is fun. windows 7, MS Office & Sky drive keeps me manage things more easily.
Important point , Cam in not oki in low lights but pretty cool n stable video recording.
I have seen many reviews on other websites and they have been mixed reviews to be short. Camera is supposed to be one of the worst and so is the flash. However, I have been waiting for the review on GSMArena before I make up my mind. I am a big fan of qwerty phones (been a blackberry user for the last 4years) and am looking for a windows upgrade preferably with a keypad.
Why was this phone never reviewed on GSMArena?
NMK, 26 Jan 2012hey i just got the dell venue pro 7.5 mango version. I want to know how to access ebooks and ... moreSorry NMK - this is one of the negative things in this phone. You can only access your pdf files thru email. I mean - you need to email yourself those pdf files and download it on phone thru email. Open it using adobe app. The problem is that you cannot email those huge 50mb plus pdf files. I have been using this phone for 6 months now. Tried all possible things but Could not find a way out. If you happen to find it.. please reply to this post and let me know.

The screen is gorgeous and slide out qwerty is quite good although not as good as black berry. Very fast even if the processor is not in par with other smartphones of now. Camera is ok-ok for images but pretty cool video recording.
hey guys can venue pro be able to install oth soft wares like viber and watz up apps
M K, 19 Dec 2011this in not a smartphone this is very bad phone....Why are you saying about this phone is bad phone?
One of the best Windows phone experiences I have ever had... The 7.5 Mango UI is super smooth, the phone's screen is super-sensitive to touch, multi-touch works better than my Xperia X10 and arc. One of the best Windows phone in the market in my opinion.
itz tooo costly if it comes within 15 then it can be thought.......................................
heyy guys! i thinkin of purchasing this phone! bt still confused! should i get it? is it worth the money? plz repky! thanks in advance!
I have my own small tech consulting business.Got a Venue Pro from my girl friend for Christmas. So I have had a few weeks to play with it and get a feel for all the functions of the device. I love it! I have had some type of Blackberry for the last 4 years plus and used it extensively for work. The phone that the Venue Pro is replacing is a Blackberry Bold 9700. I use multiple e-mail accounts (some business and some personal), Google Voice account for work, and a Google apps account (think Microsoft exchange server but from google). All my accounts installed perfectly and options are very functional. My almost 400 contacts and calendar synced up natively. (I had to run a sync app from google to get this on my BlackBerry). The Dell hardware is very well put together and feels excellent in the hand. The speaker phone is superb and the voice dialing and texting works very well. The large bright AMOLED display is gorgeous pictures and text pop. (you really have to see the screen appreciate it) Multi-touch works very well and the typing on the screen works very well. (I am not a touch screen typest and wanted this phone dew to the slide out keybord, but I am teaching myself to type on the screen due to most phones not having keyboards) The qwerty keybord is not as good as blackberrys but it is very good. The camera is ok. It takes great pictures in good light but becomes quickly unusable in low light (also seems very slow). It is odd to me because video records rather well. Although the hardware is generally excellent (except for the camera) The real winner on this phone is Win Phone 7 mango (mine had mango pre-installed). The windows phone OS is excellent. I setup and support phones for a lot of my customers and have worked with all versions of the iPhone, and many variations of Android phones. Mango is straight forward and extremely well laid out. The phone is very quick even without a dual core processer which has to be attributed to a well put together OS. Overall the is an excellent phone. Couple of things to keep in mind…..this is a big heavy phone. I do not find it too big or too heavy but I can see this as a deal breaker for some.
