Google Android Rumors

Google's Pixel 9a just can't stop leaking ahead of its rumored unveiling next month. Today we have a short hands-on video showing off its lack of camera bump.

We can see the phone in its Obsidian colorway here, which to us mere non-Google mortals is just black. The Pixel 9a's very tiny camera bump (tiny in thickness, we mean) is also clearly visible, signifying two things - this won't be the thinnest phone around by any stretch of the imagination, and it won't have top tier camera sensors which require much larger camera humps.

The Pixel 9a is rumored to be unveiled on March 19 and released on March 26. It will start at $499 with 128GB of storage, and you'll have to pay $599 for 256GB. Both versions get 8GB of RAM, a 6.28-inch OLED screen with 2,700-nit peak brightness, the Tensor G4 SoC at the helm, a 48 MP main camera, a 13 MP ultrawide, and a 5,100 mAh battery. It will naturally run Android 15 from day one and aside from Obsidian, it will also be offered in Porcelain, Iris, and Peony.

Very bland looking phone. What the hell is going on with designers now days? The Pixel Band was their Brand and it worked. 9 is Ugly and 9a, if that's really it, is Bland. The Pixel Charm is gone, it appears.
