Honor 8X is arriving alongside its bigger sibling Honor 8X Max. While we already saw leaked promo images of the big device with its humongous 7.12” screen, the vanilla 8X was yet to be seen in an official listing.
Back in the middle of August we thought it was already on TENAA, but that turned out to be the Honor 8X Max, and only now is the regular 8X making it to the Chinese regulatory with smaller screen and battery.

The listing confirmed the specs of the Honor 8X, and while pictures are still missing those should be added in shortly. The processor will be clocked at 2.2 GHz, which points to a Snapdragon 660 chipset, confirming earlier reports. RAM options are 4 GB and 6 GB, while storage is either 64 GB or 128 GB.
The dual camera on the back will be 20 MP + 2 MP setup, while the selfie shooter is listed as 16 MP. It will likely have some AI features for Beauty mode as is tradition. OS is Android 8.1, probably used as a base for the EMUI 8.1.
We know this is the smaller 8X because the screen diagonal is 6.5” screen and its resolution is 2340 x 1080 pixels, which is FHD+ with 19.5:9 ratio. The phone measures 160.4 x 76.6 x 7.8 mm and weighs 175 grams. The battery will have 3,650 mAh capacity, but this is nowhere near the 5,000 mAh power cell that will be powering the 8X Max.
Honor 8X and Honor 8X Max will officially arrive on September 5 in Black, Red, Blue, and Purple. We will update you with the last unknowns like prices and availability once the phones are outed.
