However, Europe hasn't been lucky as units in the region are yet to receive the new OS. Now, the company has publicly apologized over the delay. HTC UK's Twitter account issued an apology yesterday.
We’re sorry for the delay in delivering your Oreo update for the HTC U11. We have started to roll out the update globally but have had some complexities that have caused a delay to our release in Europe. Please bear with us and we’ll let you know more as soon as we can.— HTC UK (@HTC_UK) January 5, 2018
While the Tweet didn't reveal what kind of problems the update ran into in Europe, we hope the issues get resolved soon, and the roll out begins in the near future.
From Malaysia, I got the Oreo update last night for my HTC U11.
You keyboard warriors amaze me lol Apologize for the colors? They have the best looking phones in terms of colors, plus they have white, black, and then special colors which makes them unique and stand out compared to the every day colors you find on...
These are regulations it seems, not company intentions.
