The US division has stated there is no plans for a US version of this phone. They didn't even think there was going to be a international version.
I am hoping that this "Premium Edition" will be the US version in BLACK. I am due for a new phone but I will wait till November to see if Huawei will release this black version when they introduce the Mate 9.
AnonD-589455, 03 Oct 2016Hi , has this model comes to Malaysia market? I know is in lazada but is this product in Malaysia ? No, this phone is only available in China. Lazada did mentioned ship from overseas
The phone is great, now all they need to make is a smaller 5.2 version of this phone as 6.6 inch is bit too huge.
AC, 07 Oct 2016Riffy - Thanks so much for confirming. I initially was ecstatic to see that and frequencychec... moreNo problem. I came from the Samsung S7/Note 7. You do lose the voice over LTE thing on T-Mobile, WiFi calling & the high speeds. I haven't noticed a difference since I got the phone. If anything, I've noticed I actually get better signals & speeds in my super congested area. Not to mention this phone is crazy fast compared to the Samsung phones for some reason.

I initially was ecstatic to see that and frequencycheck.com listing the "premium" version as fully compatible, but this saved me from taking a chance on a device that wouldn't get me the same experience I've had with the Mate 8.
I ordered mine on Vopmart.com and it came in about a week and a half, i got the aedi-al10 version 128gb. My honest opinion after playing with it for a few days now is that the speeds (data speed)on it are only barley slower than the xperia z5 i replaced it with, battery life is amazing at 50% im running about 4 hours sot. the only problem i had is it would not let me bring in my contacts from my google account i tried everything so what i did was just export my contacts from my google account place the file on my phone and voila imported contacts! Has anyone had any issues with this phone so far? im not seeing to many issues.

There might be an international version later but they haven't announced it. There is no US version at all & no plans for one. There is no premium version either. A lot of sites got this & the Honor 8 mixed up. Could be what happened.
I have this phone & use it on T-Mobile. Again, 8 Mbs is as fast as you're going to get.
Riffy13, 06 Oct 2016Had to look for it in all these posts:
The phone only has LTE 1, 3, 7, 38, 39, 40 & 41
... moreOn here, the "premium" version shows US bands, but I'm trying to find out if this information is incorrect or if there actually is a model that does contain all the bands:
http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=10476&c=huawei_honor_note_8_premium_edition_dual_sim_td-lte_edi-al10_huawei_edison
According to that and frequencycheck.com, the "premium" version is model EDI-AL10. It would kinda make sense because my Mate 8 has all the LTE bands for T-Mobile. I'm just wondering whether that translated for the Honor Note 8. I'm hoping that people posting on here, that have the device, can indicate their model number of the phone they're using.
Had to look for it in all these posts:

In the US we use.. 2, 4, 5, 12, 13, 17 25, 26, & 41. That's only one Sprint band that overlaps. So no US LTE at all. About 8 Mbs is going to be your top speed on T-Mobile. I haven't found any issues at all with that speed. WiFi is pretty much everywhere nowadays.
ac, 06 Oct 2016For those of you that have posted using on T-Mobile, what model number did you purchase?
... moreThat's the chinese version & also the only version there is for now. :-)
It has no US LTE bands whatsoever. So I wouldn't say fully compatible. It's fast enough though. I live in a really congested area with only one tower. Mine actually does better on these bands. I don't know if it's cuz I'm prolly next to the only one using them or what. But when using chrome pages don't lag out all the time like they did on my old phones.
If I remember correctly... only band 12 is compatible with T-Mobile. The phone doesn't have 2 or 4 bands.
For those of you that have posted using on T-Mobile, what model number did you purchase?
I just looked at frequencycheck.com and the Premium version (EDI-AL10) is supposed to be fully compatible with T-Mobile, including bands 2, 4 and 12. I am very tempted to pull the trigger now. Initially
Hi, can anyone answer my question? I know it is from internet but I do not want to buy it from internet. Can anyone tell me is this product selling in the phone shop?
For the love of all creation...PLEASE bring a phone with these same specs to the States!
Gerald Damian, 30 Sep 2016I am also waiting for international version.. I don't want the Chinese version because I owned... moreYou can just delete the Chinese apps,i was thinking the same thing, but I went ahead and bought this beast, you can install all Google apps including Google+ no problem, and the apps u can't delete you can disable all of them, theres not that many either.best phone I ever had.
AnonD-589730, 30 Sep 2016Thanks I am still waiting to note 8 to arrive in Sweden, Is it much bigger then Mate 8 I didn... moreIt is massive compared to the mate 8,but after having this note 8,i don't think I will ever go back to 6 inch screens again.
Hi , has this model comes to Malaysia market? I know is in lazada but is this product in Malaysia ?
I can't understand why they don't release the black version of this fantastic phone. Huawei plans to release a Mate 9 in brown and pink... and they doesn't make available the black Note 8 which they have already announced? I really don't get it, for me is a dealbreaker. Same non sense color variations as they did with the P8 Max.
