Huawei Android Firmware Updates

Despite the current issues Huawei is facing with the Huawei Mate 30 Pro and Google services, the Mate 20 Pro is still a thing and it's bound to receive the latest Android software update. And it appears that some users are already receiving the much-anticipated OTA update.

Huawei Mate 20 Pro starts receiving Android 10

Owners in the Netherlands are reporting that their Mate 20 Pro devices are getting EMUI 10 based on Android 10 update along with September 2019 security patch. Of course, EMUI 10 receives a design overhaul along with some new features that Android 10 brings.

The update weighs in at 4.42GB with a build number 10.0.0.136 and it will probably take some time to reach all users. Perhaps it's a staged rollout, so we suggest you wait patiently. It won't be long before you get a taste of Android 10.

Oh, yeah. It was a nice phone, but there were clear issues for me. Features were locked and couldn't be unlocked unless I had a Huawei account, the U.S wasn't a supported region, so I couldn't. Ended up returning it. Thanks tho.
