Huawei Smart wearables

Huawei has started teasing its new Watch GT smartwatch for India. The company sent out a tweet from the India account with a short teaser video but without any other details other than just saying coming soon.

An incredible battery life, that keeps up with your activities. #ComingSoon #OneChargeTwoWeeks pic.twitter.com/i4eK2zW8p8

— Huawei India (@HuaweiIndia) March 2, 2019

The Huawei Watch GT is the company's latest smartwatch based on its own proprietary software. The watch is geared more towards fitness enthusiasts with features such as GPS tracking, heart rate monitor, water resistance up to 50m, barometer, compass, altimeter, sleep tracker and more.

However, the key feature of this watch is its battery life. While most WearOS devices will last about a day or two, the Watch GT has a battery life of about two weeks with heart rate monitoring enabled. It can also last for 30 days with heart rate monitoring disabled or 22 hours with continuous heart rate and GPS tracking enabled.

We will update when Huawei releases further information on pricing and availability.
