The GT 30 Pro is running the company's custom XOS skin (version 15.0.3) on top of Android 15. Infinix isn't particularly generous with its software support promise. The GT 30 Pro should be supported for two major OS updates and three years of security patches.
The fundamentals of the UI aren't too different from competing Android overlays, so there won't be any major adjustments needed.
XOS 15 on the Infinix GT 30 Pro
That said, there's an extra twist to the Large folder implementation that we don't remember seeing anywhere other than XOS - you can have it in a 1x3 icon form factor in addition to the usual 3x3.
The GT 30 Pro is packed with AI features; listing them would take a while. It's nice that there's an Infinix AI menu item in settings that's all neatly organized. Each feature is detailed, and there are tutorials for most of them right there.
There's an in-house system-wide assistant called Folax, now closely integrated with DeepSeek R1. You can easily switch that to Google Gemini (or alternate between the two if you're into that). Folax also has quite a few voices to choose from.
There's text recognition and extraction, audio recording and call summary and translation, wallpaper generation, document assistance (summary, translation, generation) - pretty much everything you can think of. There's also Circle to search, of course.
The phone allows you to flip a toggle, download the AI model for most of these things, and do the processing on-device. If you're worried about your data going back and forth to the cloud, maybe that's your toggle.
You can use AI in the gallery for subject extraction or as an object eraser.
With all those AI capabilities on board, you'd think that there would be a bunch of image editing functionality as well, but there's little beyond basic AI object erasing - no reflection removal, or sky enhancement, or anything else.
Welife is the app that utilizes the IR emitter. Surprisingly, it was not pre-installed on our unit, but it was easy enough to just grab from the Google Play Store.
The Infinix GT 30 Pro is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate chipset. It is a pretty modern chip made on a 4nm node. We aren't quite sure what differentiates the Ultimate version from the vanilla or the Extreme version of the chip, which we have also seen in the past.
The Dimensity 8350 Ultimate has an eight-core CPU setup with one "prime" ARM Cortex-A715 core, clocked at up to 3.35 GHz, accompanied by three more Cortex-A715 units working at up to 3.2 GHz and then another four "small" ARM Cortex-A510 cores, clocked at up to 2.2 GHz. The onboard GPU is a Mali-G615 MC6 @ 1400 MHz.
The GT 30 Pro can be equipped with either 8GB or 12GB of fast LPDDR5X RAM. It is paired with either 256GB or 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. Unfortunately, the storage is non-expandable. Our review unit has 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
Looking at the actual benchmark numbers, which were achieved by using the phone's high-performance mode, we can see scores perfectly in line with other Dimensity 8350 devices. In the CPU department, you are looking at numbers slightly better than the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 and notably lower than the Dimensity 8400 Ultra. The latter is found in the comparably-priced Poco X7 Pro, which is an outlier with its performance for this segment.
AnTuTu, with its much more compound set of benchmarks, is very kind to the Infinix GT 30 Pro. The phone definitely holds its own well in the GPU department as well. The Mali G615-MC6 is one of the most potent GPUs you can get in this price range. Well, once again, short of the Mali-G720 MC7 inside the Poco X7 Pro. Again, that's more of an anomaly than the norm.
Infinix has the text "All-Day Full FPS System | No Frames Missed" right on the GT 30 Pro's box. That might be a bit ambitious, given that the phone has pretty significant thermal throttling and doesn't boast great stability under load.
At least its surface doesn't get too hot to the touch, even after an hour of torture testing. It's definitely warm but not uncomfortably so.
