"Orange is the new Black," it appears, with the iPhone 17 Pro models making the hue quite desirable. It may not be the signature paint job for the Note 60 Pro, but the fact that they sent us their review unit in Orange says enough.
Infinix advertises the Note 60 Pro as having an aluminum unibody, but we are not sure what they mean by that, as the back panel is made of glass glued on top of the aluminum frame.
The metal frame and the matte back are incredibly smooth and smudge-resistant, but also quite slippery.
The entire Note 60 series features a rather huge camera housing, with a similar shape and even spread. Below the island is a thin metal piece with some camera specs inscription.
The phone is IP64-rated for dust proofing and splash protection. We would have liked at least IP67 or IP68 certification for water resistance, like most phones nowadays, but we guess Infinix is just not there yet.
The Note 60 Pro is available in six colors - Mist Titanium, Deep Ocean Blue, Solar Orange (ours), Mocha Brown, Torino Black, and Frost Silver. Not all colors will make it to all markets, though.
And now, let's take a closer look at the Infinix Note 60 Pro.
The iPhone 17 Pro-inspired design, color and wallpaper aside, the 6.78-inch AMOLED screen is the centerpiece at the front. It has thin and even bezels and a small punch hole for the 13MP selfie camera.
The screen is protected by a flat sheet of Gorilla Glass 7i - the popular choice nowadays.
The Note 60 Pro packs an under-display fingerprint scanner - a fast and reliable one as usual.
Above the screen is an almost invisible earpiece that together with its top-facing outlet doubles as a stereo speaker.
The back of the Note 60 Pro is quite interesting. First, it's super nice to touch with a frosted finish. Slippery, sure, but nice nevertheless.
Then there is a camera housing with three separate metal squares sticking out of the glass plate.
On the left are the two cameras - the 50MP primary and the 8MP ultrawide.
The third square has the non-customizable RGB Halo light - it lights up for notifications, AI tasks, and more. At the center of the Halo light should be the light flicker sensor, at least per Infinix official page.
Below the Halo/flicker combo is the single LED flash.
And while it looks like the rest of the camera housing is somewhat wasted, it's not really. It contains the Active Matrix Display, like the one we already experienced on the Note 60 Ultra. It can show some super cool animations for different notifications, music player, clock and timers, charging percentage, and more. It supports a couple of basic arcade games, too.
The frame of the Note 60 Pro also has a few standout features.
The top has an IR blaster, one of the microphones, and one of the stereo speakers.
The bottom houses the primary microphone, the USB-C port, the other stereo speaker, and the dual-SIM tray. There is support for eSIM on the Note 60 Pro.
The left side of the phone has the One-Tap key, which can be customized. By default, it acts as a Mute switch.
The right part of the frame has the power and volume keys, as well as the "Advanced Health monitor". The latter is a fancy name for a combination of heart rate + blood oxygen + heart rate variability sensor. You need to rest your finger in the black spot, and the Infinix AI will get you some suggestions.
The Infinix Note 60 Pro measures 162.4 x 77.2 x 7.4 mm and weighs 202 grams - in line with most phones with 6.8-inch displays.
We do appreciate the Note 60 Pro build - it's of a premium execution, clean yet iconic looks, and overall - a solid and balanced feel. We did expect better waterproofing, though.
The phone is one of the slipperiest we've handled lately, and if you care about that, you can use the bundled case. In addition to the extra grip and protection, the case will also enable faster wireless charging.
