Samples of GSMarena shows that it&... moreThe photo samples of smartphone reviews are usually taken in Auto mode, and LG's stock camera app is not the best when it comes to this mode. This is why their phones score low points in dxomark.
However, using the Manual mode, you can take way better photos. Basically in this mode you'll get the full potential of the phone's camera hardware, which is on par with the Galaxy S10. And if point and shoot is your style, you can install a modded Google Camera, load some xml presets and you'll have a point and shoot camera that is equal to or maybe even better than the Pixels.
Reddit and Telegram groups and channels are pretty good places to get more infos, download links and photo samples of the Google Camera.

Take the sample of LG G8X. On Dec, 2019 the G8X was launched in our country with bundled dual screen case @ $745 on an online store.

Come Oct, 2020 the same online retailer was selling brand new G8X with dual screen case slapped in for just $245. That's an insane $500 drop in just 11 months. No question I bought one at a heartbeat.

Raxi02, 18 Nov 2020Will this be worth to buy in 2021 or should I go for v 60? I like v 60 but the v 60 has lower ... moreThe v60 has lower resolution to avoid the overheating problem using high resolution on the v50 causes (3440x 1080) if you want to get overheating on this phone low use the phone at medium res if you are a heavy user, if not you shouldnt have a problem on high.
Paying premium for the v60 now when in about half a year next year will have its price more than half its more about your pockets, you can get the v50 for 200- 300 USD while you are going to pay over 700 for the v60.
You can be sure the v50 will at least get OS update from 10 to 11 not so sure it will make it to 12 but by then the v60 will be 250 -300 USD :D

rafvis, 11 Dec 2020Oh my God , lg v50 had to have an indisplay fingerprint it a good phonebruh. Physical fingerprint scanners are better than in display ones in my opinion. They are faster and more reliable. And in display scanners arent even mainstream last year.

skinny, 29 Nov 2020i would not recommend using the phone while charging. lg v50 has overheating issueTrue, it think it is best to avoid using any of your device while charging (unless if it is a laptop) but getting the phone a bit warm while charging is a normal thing.
I have never had any overheating issues with this phone even though it does get a bit warm after extended period of use. But so far no overheating compared to some of my previous phones.

This phone is a steal because of the price that is almost the same as the midrange phones today. This is much better than some of the overrated midrange phone right now.

Currently I am using the LG charger and usb cable provided out of the box. I also noticed if I switched to apple charger (5W and 12W) the flickering does not occur. I might consider using aukey usb-c cable and pd charger after this.

I think this phone has a copper cooling pipe. I have no issues with overheating so far and this is the coolest phone I handled when playing games or using gps for extended period of time. All my previous phones are waaay hotter than this when it comes to gaming.

Adding thickness does not improve heat dissipation.
Mind that S855 is a super powerful chip and generating heat is a must.
V50 has already been implanted heat sink and having alluminum frame, much better than those plastic phones.
If you want the best graphic performance on gaming, just go for gaming phone.
Never spoil any normal-allrounder phone.
