can any body tell me how to search for other bluetooth devices with the e398...???....my friend can find me with his fone a v600..
Whelan >>> just connect the headset !!! man /// to connect to mobile phone tools u have to install motorola modem, that's why it's initializing for ever, cause u dont have drivers installed.
>>> search the net for somethin called nokia multimedia converter, it transform mpeg and avi into .3gp
I have two problems
1) I cannot connect my mobile to my pc, th ephone tool just shows that it initialising, maybe im doing something wrong, done everything that has been suggested.
2) playing mp3's through the headset, how?
i bought E398 and IT'S THE BEST PHONE AT SOUND, but it had some errors and i don't know how to transform avi in .3gp or .mp4
I transferred a .3gp file from nokia 6230(bluetooth) and it works....it acces a little harder memory but it works
IF YOU LIKE MUSIC BUY THIS PHONE!!!!!!
hey jay , e398 has video playback but no recording and yes it has a loud speaker like the one u see in some nokia phone , get in the moto mood
The USB mass storage feature is supported in newer SW releases only. Most likely people having problems are still on an old SW label.
does e398 have a video??? and does it also have a loudspeaker like some of nokias phone models? can anybody answer me..... tnx!
hi guys!!! i'm just wondering why your having trouble transfering MP3s to your E398? When I first bought mine, I simply connected the supplied USB cable to the phone and to my PC. My PC automatically recognized the phone as USB storage removable disk, and I simply dragged and dropped the MP3 files. The transfer speed is a bit slow though, but no hassle....the sound is really great both through the dual stereo speakers or through the headset. Great phone!!!
How do I put videos on it? I don't know how to convert them to mpeg4, i bought .AVI on it, it goes through but my video storage remains on empty? Help anyone?
can anyone help me,i'm having problem. While uploading mp3 the software hang off hp and restart my hp check t/flash card empty. All uploading gone but card memory show used 50mb.Try to upload again but failed. Can anyone tell me why.
E398 also suport .3gp files. So get Nokia multimedia converter for series 60 phone and convert any video u want :)
to other e398 users,
does ur speaker gives out a soft, high-pitch sound when ur rythem lights flashes?
it just need video recording and FM Radio and it will be the best in the world
potato bag , what u say stands true for audio files but pictures you can use from the trans card to put them as yr wallpapers
to jerry , well it works on my phone i have a lot of files on my phone in AVI format
Just wanted to put my 2 cents here... I bought my E398 a few days ago and am pretty happy with it. The things it lacks, as I'd say, are faster memory access and the ability to use pictures/audio directly from the flash card without having to copy them to the phone first, as well as a few minor software design flaws.
But, what I have read here many times, that the phone could not save multiple numbers under the same name is just plain bullsh*t. If you give multiple numbers the same contact name, they will all be saved under the same contact file (see PC sync for this). Then, there's an option in the Phonebook Settings screen to only display primary numbers, which will result in every name being just listed once, with the number the user defined as the primary one as default. With the left- and right-keys, one can now browse through the remaining numbers of the contact before selecting one. It's even easier and faster than on my old T68i where I had to select the number in an own submenu.
i convert it to avi format but i don't get the video name display on my h/p
i try before already, but still says doesn't support
jerry try conerting your videos to avi format ,that will surely work
would like to ask... it is mention that E398 supports mpeg-4 format... but when i convert my video to mpeg-4 file and play it on my E398... it says file corrupted... then when i wanna check details it says that file format not supported... what is wrong?
