E398 also suport .3gp files. So get Nokia multimedia converter for series 60 phone and convert any video u want :)
to other e398 users,
does ur speaker gives out a soft, high-pitch sound when ur rythem lights flashes?
it just need video recording and FM Radio and it will be the best in the world
potato bag , what u say stands true for audio files but pictures you can use from the trans card to put them as yr wallpapers
to jerry , well it works on my phone i have a lot of files on my phone in AVI format
Just wanted to put my 2 cents here... I bought my E398 a few days ago and am pretty happy with it. The things it lacks, as I'd say, are faster memory access and the ability to use pictures/audio directly from the flash card without having to copy them to the phone first, as well as a few minor software design flaws.
But, what I have read here many times, that the phone could not save multiple numbers under the same name is just plain bullsh*t. If you give multiple numbers the same contact name, they will all be saved under the same contact file (see PC sync for this). Then, there's an option in the Phonebook Settings screen to only display primary numbers, which will result in every name being just listed once, with the number the user defined as the primary one as default. With the left- and right-keys, one can now browse through the remaining numbers of the contact before selecting one. It's even easier and faster than on my old T68i where I had to select the number in an own submenu.
i convert it to avi format but i don't get the video name display on my h/p
would like to ask... it is mention that E398 supports mpeg-4 format... but when i convert my video to mpeg-4 file and play it on my E398... it says file corrupted... then when i wanna check details it says that file format not supported... what is wrong?
hello sophia/vic, tried to look for e398 last week at globe but always out-of-stock. any news that promo will be extended. any alternative that would be a steal...
nope. the rubbery feel just isnt there. feels like your typical hard plastic. its main body had a glossy pearl like luxurious finish. it has a deep red, more burgundy-like accent instead of the stainless steel "motorola strip" on the sides of the black version. i think they designed different housings for different market segments.
and the converted .jad file should look something like this if you view if in notepad
MIDlet-Description: CannonBalls midlet game.
Created-By: 1.2.1 (Sun Microsystems Inc.)
MIDlet-Vendor: ZGroup (www.zgroup-mobile.com)
MIDlet-1: CannonBalls, /icon.png , CannonBalls
and if you view the .jar file in the notepad all u can see there is encrypted characters..period!
hey guys i found out that .jar files doesn't work in any mobile phones in order to get it working u gotta' change it to .jad then only you'll be able to install them and play it..so all u need to do is get the jadgen converter..which the link is posted somewhere in here and generate it to the .jad file..if u hav any question just about this matter post it here..
hey vic could u pls tell me if the silver colour one also has a rubbery feel to it ,must say it looks great bit its not available in india
sophia, you can try requesting for the red and silver version but i understand globe has no control on the variety of stocks motorola gives them. to increase your chances of getting a red one, i suggest you reach all the globe business centers by landline first and try reserving. am sure these pros will only be to happy to oblige. the other way to do it is perhaps talk with the motorola dealer to send a red unit to the globe business branch you prefer. the motorola dealer is at the 30th floor of the IBM building in Libis. they have another onesomewhere at the glorietta. by the way, you still pay 9k even if you pay in cash for the g text plan. or about 16k for a prepaid unit.
Sorry Fye but I have no idea, maybe you should phone motorola and tell them about that, it could be that your network removes that feature like some do with the Java app loader but I don't think so. Please let me know what motorola said but I think they will probably need to reload your software.
To Sam the best way to apply a mp3 as a ringtone is through the mobile phone tools provided, there you can edit the mp3 so only the portion that you want can be your ringtone and it will be stored directly to the phone memory.
Just remember to change the USB connection to data/fax.
yes sam its possible but make sure that paticular mp3 is on the phone memory and not on the trans card
