Motorola Edge 60 Fusion review

Design and handling

The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion features the same design features as its predecessor - the soft-touch vegan leather back, the minimalist camera island, the thin plastic side frame, and the curved front panel. The camera island is slightly bigger this time as it houses an additional 3-in-1 dedicated light sensor that maintains symmetry, and the LED flashlight now blends with the camera rings.

Dimensions and weight haven't changed much, but it is slightly thicker than before, likely due to the bigger battery.

The handset is now compliant with the MIL-STD-810H standard and has IP68/IP69 rating against water and dust. The front glass also gets extra protection, now with a Gorilla Glass 7i sheet.

The available colorways are, as usual, produced in collaboration with Pantone. You can choose between Slipstream, Amazonite and Zephyr. We have the Slipstream version for review.

Moreover, some of the aroma of the scented retail box lingers on the phone for a few days after you start using it, leaving a premium overall impression.

All in all, the handset is very light and comfortable to hold, even for a 6.67-inch device. The curved panel, leather back and lightweight design make one-handed usage quite comfortable, and the device handhold feels secure.

We don't find the under-display fingerprint placement very convenient, though. It's placed too close to the device's bottom edge, which requires finger gymnastics when unlocking the device.

Other than that, we liked the design. It punches above its weight class.
