On page 4 of the review there's a screenshot collection of all the menus. On one of them namely the quick links there's an icon called Shepard which looks like a windscreen wiper. What does Shepard mean?

I dont think phone knows your direction without compass. All you get is a blue dot pinpointing your location without any arrow. This can be a big problem if you are using phone to navigate on foot.
Not including compass on many of their phones is one of the biggest mistakes of motorola.

Bought one, you have to set the brightness at least 75% or more for it to be usable. Is this normal or my device is faulty?

Hry, 11 Oct 2020This phone is a serious disappointment. 1. the official page says there's e-compass but t... moreumm on google maps the phone knows perfectly fine which direction you're facing without a compass just by using signal triangulation and gps. the actual compass was completely unnecessary and it works well without it. in fact most features on this phone work extremely well, however, the cameras are disappointing and the expandible storage is poorly implemented making it almost useless. they need to drop a software patch that allows the user to download apps onto expandible storage and fix the camra and photo viewer apps so that the user is able to delete photos off of their expandible storage without having to use the file manager app.

Purchased the phone as an upgrade to the G5S+, which was an excellent phone. Only replaced as security, bug fix and feature updates are no longer supported. This phone has a better battery, larger screen and backside finger print reader. Overall the phone is an adequate replacement and I found online 6 months ago for about $200. Its really a budget phone which I understood going in, as was the 5. But the 5 never disappointed. The issue I have is Wifi only supports 2.4ghz, and this is a major downgrade from the 5 and a big disappointment. Funny you don't see that mentioned in the specs. Again I get its budget but still, how much more would it cost to drop a 5ghz feature in there. I mean this is a smartphone and I really think the 2.4 hurts the credibility. Otherwise the phone performs well. Based on the Wifi though not sure I 'd buy it again. Have to flip a coin.

This phone is a serious disappointment. 1. the official page says there's e-compass but there's no way it would work. The navigation never knows in which direction I'm looking at. 2. of course you can't use wi-fi and bluetooth at the same time.
How much Motorola is saving by excluding these fundametal features really? Also their web page had 0 info about these flaws when I made my purchase. I will never buy a Motorola phone again.

So probably is international but I can not guarantee it. I am from Spain and I have only tested Spanish simcards.
