I have samsung galaxy note3 and I saw an update on Internet of lollipop for note3. Should I update my phone to 5.0.2 lollipop?

please dont misguide people. there have been two update packages for Sm-N900, one was of 837MB, and the next of 91MB, if you have installed both the packages your phone should be running smooth with the beautiful touchwiz, and yes RAm usage is damn high but there's LMK (Low Memory Killer) which automatically frees up RAm from least used apps when necessary, battery is good after the second update, not great, but fair

Never Never update to lollipop its just killing ur note 3
i suffered a lot plz don't do any updates.Major issues i facing like . 1 battery drain in 2hrs 2.S pen is not working. 3. S-Cover is not working and other inbuilt app are not working.

It looks tempting, and d update not only updates ur phone to lollipop, but also updates touchwiz, which turns ur phone into note 4. Seriously, it looks damn good and working on it becomes more easier. Imagine u r working on note 4, exactly. But, wid all dese goody stuffs der r mahor disadvantages. Later, ur phone starts consuming more Ram, its might not b d lollipop, but the I guess the touchwiz which lags more. Few inbuilt necessary apps stops working in between. Moreover also d device turns pretty hot. Imagine u r just left wid half a GB ram in normal standby mode, what will u do wen u run ram memory extensive apps or games, dey tend to shutdown in middle of use. Plz dont update. U will regret.

History repeats itself.
I burnt my phone as it started taking 30 seconds to open call app, 1 minute for map ... after update.
Moreover I cannot go back to old firmware.
moved to MI and happy satisfied user with full control of all apps of my phone.

Lollipop is Great on Note 3. i read so many negative reviews before updating.one issue that i faced was slow charging and fast drain of Battery after update. I did not waste time by checking each application or other things (i used to do that earleir). Just backed up my contacts on google, application APKs i copied to SD card, pictures i copied to SD card and then simply factory reset my phone. After rest i installed all apps again using APKs on my SD card, backed up my contacts. The phone now works like a charm. No issues at all.

Guys.... Some people as I know they got a new update on around 60 mb
from OTA(On the Air)
And silent mode and other issues are fixed.....
deduction in memory usage too...
If you are still facing a problem with latest lollipop OS
visit the nearest service center.... If device is in warranty they will fix it for free.......

Yes overheating sometimes but if u let the phone off for few mins will fix it. And even though it uses 2.3gb it works smooth but little but lag in opening apps. Once it's opened that app it works like charm.

Good catch man. I thought I was the only got this issue. Even after 2st stability fix update. Ram usage is high always reaches 2.37gb and when I kill all apps it comes around 1.8gb and then in few secs it peaks. To fix the battery drain issue. turn off the "unified daemon"

I was a huge Samsung fan. I have been using Samsung mobiles since past 9 years. I presently have Note 3. I was so happy with it until I installed Lollipop. This update frustrates me so much. Battery problems, uses over 2.3 gigs of RAM, Sluggishness, Overheating, etc. I wish there was a way to get the older version back. I restart my phone at least 5 to 7 times a day cos it just hangs up. Simplest of the tasks like making a call or opening up whatsapp crashes my phone. I did not expect this from Samsung in return to the loyalty I have showed. I did not pay a price to get this. It has not being more that 6 months I have bought the phone.
SAMSUNG please do something or I might have to change my brand as I am very high phone user and I cannot take this for a long time.

I have installed 2 updates but still ram usage is 2.3 gb always and phone is lagging crazy... battery reduces to 30% from kitkat as well. hugely disappointed

Worst Update Ever!!.
Recommended apps crashes after i plugin my headphones
gets overheated when battery goes below 30% And
Gets hanged at the same time
Memory Leak Problems
Some Apps not functioning properly.
music player gets crashed
battery gets drained very quickly

Sam, I do not have any problem with S View cover, all are working fine, but just Battery & RAM consumption still not resolved in latest update. If you have any solution for that please update me.
