Some of you guys are just ridiculous. So frickin' what if it has toooo much RAM, is that a problem? Get over it already, find something meaningful to complain about...
okay increase the ram but do you eliminate thje lags or do you increase os update more than 16 months ? no so its pointless
AnonD-391800, 23 Feb 2016Android does not lag, where the hell did you get that idea?Yes it does. It does lag when you open a bunch of apps + browser tabs and you constantly need to switch between them, copy and paste info from one another, etc.
AnonD-500788, 23 Feb 2016And what is the name of that app that we are gonna need 6gb ram for it to run properly? Cus ev... moreiPhone runs linear (1 app at a time) and not parallel (multi-tasking) which is why it runs smoothly on simple hardware specs. My 2 cents.

I guess it boils down to how each person uses their phone. It may not be attractive to you, but it is for me.

We need better battery life and stability not more ram. 3-4 GB ram is more than enough to handle any app the play store has to offer.
An attention seeker for time being when g5 and s7 were released..this phone is nothing special actually.
The RAM and CPU war goes on. The mobile phones still have shi**y battery life. I can run virtual machine with 4gb of ram in my laptop. Whats the point of 6GB RAM.
Sorry, but I find it hilarious. Phone shaving more RAM than average desktop PC's. For what? That narrow selection of applications and functions offered by Android? Don't make me laugh. If oyu can't fit everything in max 3GB you're doing shit wrong.
more ram the better!! andorid will always use whats avaialbe.
with more ram the phones could learn what apps you use and when and preload them into memory so they open near instantly.. (if they can be bothered to program that into the device)
or just keep more running all the time in the background so they swithc quickly.
quite simply more ram = faster phone.
will be interesting to see camera smaples and audio from mics and loudspeaker/headset jack ect.. as these chineese phones look really nice but ususaly are mediocre at best with other hardware.
in tems of looks its much nicer than the s6 or 7.

But as you download other apps and having them on standby even if you dont use it for quite some time it also eats up ram space. So i guess approximately 2gb more or less is available if 6gb ram is onboard in this flagship phone by vivo. By the way LG V10 user here.

With 6GB RAM I predict at least 2GB more of RAM for use, not just 2.7GB on it's own! So that's 4.7GB to spare. In the case of RAM, more is more, you don't simply use more just because you have more. Also with Marshmallow on board, less RAM will be used. You are right in one thing, it does depend on bloat ware, but these can be disabled, as most people who know what they are doing do.
And what is the name of that app that we are gonna need 6gb ram for it to run properly? Cus even the iPhone optimizes beautifully without 4gb ram.
Oh wow! 6 GB of RAM - and Android will still lag. Any optimized mobile OS will use max. 2 GB of RAM nowadays. (running the most resource hungry apps)
We need more proper phones that use proper operating systems on the market. (Windows, iOS, BBOS)
