another phone for a hulk.
not everybody uses VR, so... a thumbs up for better battery and performance.
guest, 25 Mar 20161080P in 2016 for flagship device ? No thanks. 1080P is more than enough. All these QuadHD displays are just gimmicks. They are totally unnecessary and just hog battery AND performance. 1080p at 5.5 in gives a PPI of 400! Only 300 PPi is necessary for retina so 1080p on the One Plus 3 is perfect. It also means much better performance all around because the Snapdragon 820 was built to power QuadHD displays.
AnonD-108057, 25 Mar 2016Low res = battery friendly. Been looking for phones with none of the exorbitantly high resolut... moreIndeed lower display resolutions could be battery friendly. But our eyes not being able to tell the differences between resolutions? Tell that to a VR user
Hmm... I wish they also made tablets.
guest, 25 Mar 20161080P in 2016 for flagship device ? No thanks. st*pid? who needs QHD in smartphone? 1080p is a total win of performance = less heat = better battery life. When will you understand this samsung fanboy?
guest, 25 Mar 20161080P in 2016 for flagship device ? No thanks. 1080p is still the way to go when it comes to mobile phones, it's much more battery friendly (which everyone is asking for) and 4k and whatever is pointless on such a small screen, it is simply a gimmick for mobile phones.
guest, 25 Mar 20161080P in 2016 for flagship device ? No thanks. As if you would see the difference between full HD and QHD (unless used as a VR screen). On a 5"- 6" screen you really have to pop your eye out to see the difference. I think it's a smart choice. Better battery life. In current world, with batteries that still use 30 years old technology, it makes much more sense. In the future on the other hand, it probably won't be an issue.
Anonymous, 25 Mar 2016Expandable storage is a must, for sure. But if the battery is large enough, then I don't think... moreI have yet to meet a VR user. Maybe the McDonald's Happy Meal headset will change that.

What drawn me to OnePlus was their CM OS choice. CyanogenOS = light, modder friendly, updated (to me). Without it OnePlus had no other selling point anymore, price is comparable to XiaoMi's Mi series with their awesome MIUI (furthermore XiaoMi update their phone prrreeeettttttttttttyyyyyy fast too).
Unless there are someone who can convince me otherwise, especially on OxygenOS ;)
I have had them until One+X & then lost it, their after service is a joke, F 'em
Anandam Roy, 25 Mar 2016Is there any phone which has hot swappable battery? What's the point for comparing it with other phones? A so-called flagship killer should have a different and better features than other flagship. So, despite being a rarity on smartphone these days, removable battery is still a valid idea.
AnonD-77465, 25 Mar 2016OnePlus 3 = 4Nope, One + 3 = One3

Too bad about the resolution. It's definitely a deal breaker for VR users.
It would be nice to have a 6"-variant as well. Older OPO's I didn't buy because I knew the screens would be too small for me.
