Anonymous, 29 Jun 2010"the N8 will no doubt be a bug ridden disaster." Amazing how ignorant you are =))... morenokias are always ridden with faults and issues, i work in a phoen shop and have no end of returns and issue, prime suspect n900!!
symbian is a firm OS and i love it. Not the iOS it lacks many feather. Yes im a nokia lover coz its easy to use, messaging, file storage and web browsing. Nokia n900 is the best xD
Anonymous, 29 Jun 2010n86 is not a phone aimed at internet browsing so poor comparison. try comparing your iphone to... moreThe n900? Oh please! A Maemo OS and a resistive touchscreen with a pop out keyboard, a slightly improved N97 is the best way to describe. The N97 is a another massive Nokia let down by the way!
Any HTC phone? Ok i'll compare my 3GS to the Desire, the apparently best HTC! Yeah its a good phone no doubt, but it has a complicated UI and Android is still lagging behind the iOS when it comes to Apps. The iPhone still satisfies more than the Desire!
Anonymous, 29 Jun 2010n86 is not a phone aimed at internet browsing so poor comparison. try comparing your iphone to... morei know u didnt use n86 or any other nokia, u will know the difference what i mean. This phone is easy to text and web browsing is awesome. It has a 8mp cam with dual flash and video flash, and also 3g video call. I can use opera mini or skyfire as its like a computer. I can integrate with my gmail/hotmail/yahoo and they flash on the home screen when i get a new mail. And i can do different tasks like playing music, web surfing and chatting on the same time. It has n-gage game too thats pretty cool
I think that the majority of the buyers of the new iPhone 4 are NOT techie and those people who get lost easily to the UI of a particular phone and asking help to someone on 'how to open this app?','how to find this...' and also, to those people who lacks knowledge about a SMARTPHONE which can multi-task, install countless apps, lots of connectivity methods, browse the net smoothly and etc.
These non-techie people are easily convinced and WOWed on the iPhone's smooth and brilliant UI but they've never realized that iPhone only concentrates on a open app since it doesn't support real multi-tasking capabilities like on symbians and androids.
And for own my opinion, iPhone is for non-techie person and I think that there are many non-techie people in this world because of
their different interests so the result, the iPhone sells so great on its first days of its release despite of its different issues on its hardware.

Your such a plum ha ha ha
My last Samsung Phone had Flashlite 3.1, Bluetooth for file transfers, Mass Storage, a Micro SD card slot for extra memory, DiVx & avi support, 720p HD recording, 5MP camera...do you need to know more? And guess what? Although the specs may have blown the iPhone away, the UI the smoothness, the Apps support and overall experience couldnt even come close to the iPhone 3GS, what I have at present.
Your an iPhone hater who has never used an iPhone and will have no clue on how good it is :)
Wow! I can already see how the nokia n8 will be an EPIC FAIL right now! Symbian is so dead! All you haters can say all you want but Apple is laughing at you all the way to the bank!
Heartbreak Kid, 29 Jun 2010Ha ha The Nokia N86? That is a such a bug ridden phone with a sluggish Symbian processor mate.... moren86 is not a phone aimed at internet browsing so poor comparison. try comparing your iphone to any recent HTC or say nokia n900, then your iphone becomes a joke.
Anonymous, 29 Jun 2010how can i watch online streaming videos without adobe flash in iphone? You have dedicated Apps for YouTube, DailyMotion, TVUPlayer, Justin.tv, UStream, etc...You dont need dodgy flash support on a phone, which almost all Flash Supported phones have, Flashlite 3.1 (which is basically weak).
Wow the Android phones will get full Adobe Flash, lets see how the phones cope ha ha
obviously if your a regular iphone user your not going to miss the features iphones lack because you haven't got used to using them. how can you miss something you've never had.
but for non iphone users such as myself i just can't believe how much more people are willing to pay for less. for example no bluetooth file transfers?!? no mass storage connectivity? i've been using these feature for 5 years and would never consider a phone without them. it's far too convenient, but then you wouldn't know - i suppose ignorance is your bliss.
the only thing that iphone is good for is ease of use. but in no way does that justify the ridiculous price tag. at most they are worth half as much as they cost!
1.7m sales = 1.7m clueless people. sad times for the human race.
Anonymous, 29 Jun 2010(to heartbreak kid) if u think ur iphone is the best, i would say its the worst phone i ever h... moreHa ha The Nokia N86? That is a such a bug ridden phone with a sluggish Symbian processor mate. The UI is laughable, the only thing going for it is that it has more specs. If you want a phone mainly for file transferring and deleting mass contacts, and carry out much more in depth tasks, then yeah stick to your N86. I wouldnt have any use out of a phone like that personally, like I say my previous experiences with Symbian have been poor. The iPhone meets all my multimedia requirements, it has thousands of Apps, I find the browser to be brilliant for surfing, email requirements are met, what more do I want?
Wonder how many phones provide excellent TV viewing like the iPhone does? Hmmmm
Heartbreak Kid, 29 Jun 2010iPhone sales and customers speaks for itself! The same way how my opinion may seem irrelavant ... moreiPhone sales doesn't necessarily speak for itself.
Good sales is due to high popularity, not necessarily good functionality.
One way to put what I mean: Lady GaGa doesn't really sing very well, but she sells lots of album, because she's popular for her appearance (just like the iPhone) and she has got good marketing (just like the iPhone too).
D-Day, 29 Jun 2010Does that mean there are 1.7 million people with more money than sense??In a word: yes!
how can i watch online streaming videos without adobe flash in iphone?
Heartbreak Kid, 29 Jun 2010iPhone sales and customers speaks for itself! The same way how my opinion may seem irrelavant ... moreWell said!
There are 1.7 million people gullible enough to buy something because steve obs told them it was good.
Now they have a phone that can barely make calls, barely surf the internet, that can't handle neither HTML5 nor flash content, can't make videocalls via the network like any other phone and requires internet and email to send a contact card.
This is what you have to know about the iPhone users. They were smart enough to buy the above thing.
hi all, 29 Jun 2010Just go to techradar and read their review on the top 20 handsets in the market as of now. Eno... moreiPhone sales and customers speaks for itself! The same way how my opinion may seem irrelavant is the same way us iPhone owners value pathetic and dumb comments from iPhone haters :)
And Techradar is one source. Lets see what the biggest mobile phone reviewer on the net, ie GSMArena think :)
Well even there are some problems, check how awesome the iOS is running HTML5!
Steve Jobs was right to ditch flash: http://tiny.cc/TheiPhoneFever
Well done apple, well done Steve Jobs!
(to heartbreak kid) if u think ur iphone is the best, i would say its the worst phone i ever had. I could not download many type of files using safari. This phone dont have proper access to the file browser, cant even transfer files to other devices. Moreover, its network signal is too weak. Again, its really hard to text with a virtual keypad!!! Its so hard to go backward on a particular alphabet bay tapping. And whats more, this phone lacks of a normal phone feathers like massive deleting of contacts and multitasking. So i would say its a device of watching movies and play games. As a phone it suck big times!! Why dont u just go for a ipod instead of this? Im very comfortable with my nokia n86 device, its a all-rounder
woah..what a record...one thing to say,'STOP CHEATING THE CONSUMER'S MONEY STEVE JOBS!!" Once the true nature of the iphone is revealed, you are going down the drain.. and other mobile phones manufacturing company would easily claim your spot of the so-called "Revolutionary device".
Apple's marketing techniques usually charm those consumers who are not technologically-inclined... just a minor 'swish here and there' in the UI..and those consumers would immediately go 'So COOL!!' and buys it without actually going through conscious process... not forgetting celebrity endorsements and peer pressure to conform with social groups..apple is smart and sneaky at capturing consumers through their emotional and reference group marketing appeals..easy money earned!
but not for me though, as an avid learner in continuously updating myself with the current technology, a good phone is based on its overall performance, functionality and physical characteristics which is compatible in the current period, not those outdated tech and claim it as a new technology.
so, consumers out there, a rational purchasing decision can save up lots of your resources and psychological crisis (such as disappointment). And to apple, please do something really revolutionary (like creating a phone with 5X optical zoom) instead of just holding on to the title of 'the first phone that comes in touch-screen' which is already obsolete..
yes, i am a marketing student and current user of the iphone 3GS and i know this very well (i.e. lacks many great functions such as bluetooth file tranfer). The upgraded iphone 4 doesn't seem to impress me in anyway (and still does not solve that problem yet). If apple were to start a school of marketing..sign me up..XD
