Anonymous, 12 Jan 2011I was gonna let it pass but really, it's too funny. Apparently, some people nowadays really do... more< That shot on the left is just a quick mockup >
It means that its probably made by gsmarena so the device will be totally different
Actually, Nokia will not reveal this device at the MWC. Nokia will not reveal any device on the MWC.
Nokia won't even be at the MWC. Just like last year.
This is obviously a fake:
1st - the screen has been downscaled (not even keeping the aspect ratio)
2nd - the keyboard has been taken from the E71 and is resized too to match the resized and croped E71 body.
As long as its powerfull and got buttons i dont care, come on treat us with a new E90 as well .....The e7 is fail cause bad reflections making screen into a good mirror, edf camera.stop doing touchscreen and bring out your designs companyss pleazzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
I would see this one more like this:
I HOPE it will look more like the one one from nokiablog, not this ugly monstrosity ;)
photoshop work on N8 with X2-01 features
There is no hard OS limitation to nHD in Symbian^3, so upgrading the resolution is far from impossible. If this is real, the E6-00 will come with many of the improvements originally intended for Symbian^4 anyways, and you can bet upping the resolution has been on the menu for some time. The only problem I have with these specs is that the E6-00 would have a higher resolution display than the E7-00, which would be kind of backwards considering their numbering in the Nokia lineup. In any case, there are rumors that the X7-00 will have a higher rez screen as well, probably WVGA.
the phone looks so nice , but what is a vgA screen?
if this thing is real then it will be a great all purpose phone. The capacitive screen + physical mini qwerty + vga resolution + all connectivity modes would be epic.
This device would probably use Meego, not Symb.
It is truly funny to see how Nokia bashers seem to lack even the most basic reading comprehension. Oh well...
Pretty interested to see what this will look like. Should give some great competition to RIM phones.
Guys please .. for God sake learn to read!!
The article says clearly it's a mockup .. it's even bolded guys!!!
Sure the pic is FAKE, but if this news is as he mention with qwerty keyboard, than is similar to E72 large screen in pixels but no touchscreen... i think there is a lot of nokia users who dream that device, bcz the e60,e72,e73 ect, all this models have QWGA-320x240, well that is just to low screensize for a phone today.
woww....nokia e71 with a big screen and new os
-The picture posted here looks like a modified e71 with a larger screen
that looks so fake
SOMEONE HAS BEEN READING MY MIND!!!!
I've always thought why Nokia hasn't done a smartphone based in the n72 but with a bigger screen. Just take the 3.2 screen from the c6-01, put the excellent qwerty keyboard from the n72 (you can take the call and home buttons off), and take advantage of every space in the phone, by reducing the top and down metal zones and voilà: fantastic device. Or do it slide like the Palm Pre. They've got a potential client over here!!
This is just Unbeliveble...
how does NOKIA,, i repeat, NOKIA.... Manage to deliver CrapY, after Crapy, After Crapy Phone.. year after year,,, OMG
The last good Phone nokia produced whas the N95... lIke a Century ago...
Just Cant belive this..
OMG OMG OMG OMG.... 600 MHZ OMG. That would have been amazing in year 2 BC
VGA: Not thrilled.
Should the rumors be true...
True, VGA displays (640 x 480 pixels) more information. Should this be true, it will be another source of fragmentation (hence headache) for users who have designed apps to work on the the nHD (640 x 360 pixels) display.
Should this be true, a (quick) compatibility fix for third-party apps would be to put black borders on either upper and lower or side margins.
I envision Nokia to be putting true HD resolution in its next iteration of phones: (720 x 1280 pixels). This should result to better compatibility with current apps due to the same aspect ratio. ;)
For the sake of comparison, Nokia should update to higher-res screens. Really...
I really hope they retain the navigation key. Trying to position the cursor to a particular letter in the word is near impossible using touchscreen, especially if you have fat fingers.
