Now I am confused that how to hold this phone without accidentally touching the screen. A flat screen with this small bezels would have been more convenient. Let's see how this works out for Samsung. I am not a big fan of curved screens and glossy glass body.
Why pixel why... Why so ugly and costly?
Someone Else, 16 Jan 2017the iPhone SE only had the camera and the chipset from the iPhone 6s, nothing moreThe battery too, it only lacked the 3d touch.... so basically *everything* from 6s ... don't try to change a little thing called reality.
Actually it had better battery life because despite the slightly smaller battery it had to power a far smaller screen thus better battery life. So yeah in certain aspects iphone SE actually had more hardware given the circumstances...
this is a real top phone, not that oneplus weak brand with its toys
I see a headphone jack.
miri, 16 Jan 2017Flat screen please, especially for the biger one.Not gonna happen since there wasn't a flat Note 7 screen for them to reuse hahaha
if they again force stupid notifications upon owners which cannot be disabled like the 'game mode' idiocy (S7) then regardless of the hardware goodbye $am$ung & welcome Google.
So far so good.
You drop it, you are done now... better buy samsung's extended warranty if theres any
If it turns out like how most of the renders have shown how it will look like, this could be a real good phone. It will have a sleek bar and classy look.
Anonymous, 16 Jan 2017And yet it looks like a jumbo jet. It's size is very distracting. So dissapointing that Samsun... more2mm wider is the stone ages? Okay.
meanwhile apple will dish out another large brick in september
AnonD-109726, 16 Jan 2017why dude? the phone is great - yeah the camera sucks and maybe the design and screen to body r... moreCamera sucks? really? it is rated as one of the best camera phone of 2016. And it also has far better body to screen ratio among its peers.
So ugly. The only way to make this look nice is to have the entire front pure screen.
I'm truly impressed by the dimensions of the smaller S8 which measures 140.14mm x 72.20 x 7.30mm giving you a 5.7" screen while my current S5 is 142 x 72.5 x 8.1 mm giving you a 5.1" screen which means the S8 is shorter, narrower and slimmer than the S5 yet giving you more than 1/2 inch more display size.
That's truly impressive even if it came at a cost of losing the home button.
The only thing I really use my S5's home button to do is to wake the phone out of sleep mode because there are other ways I can go to the home screen without pressing the home button. As much as I have gotten use to having a home button I just may be able to get use to not having it.
The only thing now is to wait and see what the S8 will bring to the table.
I'm sold if it ticks all the boxes.
Flat screen please, especially for the biger one.
Anonymous, 16 Jan 2017Would go for the regular S8. I think big phones are past their prime. If they are past their prime then why has screen size and sales increased year on year.... yes some people like smaller screen phones and thats perfectly fine but to say in the modern age that big phones are past it is so far off the mark. Apple used to swear blind that they woukd never make a big phone and suddenly they caught onto the gravy train and their plus models sell super well, im all for a big and smaller version of a device to cater for both markets especially when they increase the screen size but reduce the overall size beyond the generation before aka s8 in s7 size body
Isn't enough of micro USB 2.0? They would must make a phone with USB 3.0/3.1 port. Already is enough of USB 2.0 port. For the Galaxy Note 3 ans S5 they putted USB 3.0 port and in the posterior models until today the have putted USB 2.0 ports. It means, in once the things evolve they go back, stupid people that work and design the phones in Samsung.
what about slow motion???
That is so ugly
